4.0 out of 5 stars Worth 20+ excerpts
I expected it to be just another of the bubble era introduction-to-day-trading books <yawn>, but this book surprised me. To the point that I wound up bookmarking over 20 places having trading ideas worth considering.

Most of the day trading books of 1998-2001 are terribly obsolete. Not so, this one.

If you are new to trading, or have up to five years experience...

3.0 out of 5 stars I was expecting more from the title and desciption
It's very technical / inefficient in the way the complexities that occure at the Direct Access Trading level are explained..

I've read lots of books on trading (technical analysis through day trading to options and futures) and this one could put me to sleep.. The thing that bothers me the most is there are no pictures or drawings of a level II screen...

If you are new to trading, or have up to five years experience with direct access trading, you will gain trading ideas from this book.

Sales gets quickly into real trading and does not fill the book with introductory dribble. For example, as early as page 17 he writes about details of good trading practices, such as factoring in a chase point (for slippage) for entries and exits.

The first part of the book is the author's own experienced based advice.

That is followed by interviews with several normal traders with substantially differing trading styles.

Experienced traders will recognize that some of these folks are probably no longer trading, by the nature of their stories and ideas, while others have good ideas that apply well to the markets of 2002.

A very worthwhile read.

It's very technical / inefficient in the way the complexities that occure at the Direct Access Trading level are explained..

I've read lots of books on trading (technical analysis through day trading to options and futures) and this one could put me to sleep.. The thing that bothers me the most is there are no pictures or drawings of a level II screen anywhere in the book and in fact there are no screen shots or diagrams of anykind on anything...

The strategy is to utilize your capital with stop loses and route your order efficiently... I'm halfway through this book but it never seems to get into gear.. Flipping through the pages I can see I'm not missing much... I will finish reading it completely but not until I get a new bottle of asprin...

The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of less is because it is still well written but disappointing sorry.. You can uncross your eyes now...
