Book Description

Mitchell Beazley Craft/Woodworking S. August 28, 2006
Age-old rural crafts, made by today’s woodworkers with contemporary techniques—that’s the special attraction of all 18 of these projects, for use and display indoors and outdoors. Only basic woodworking skills are needed to make any of the historic designs, including Shaker Shelves & Pegboard, Five-Board Bench, Candle Stand, Rocking Chair, Hooded Cradle, Blanket Box, and another dozen beautiful works. A wide selection of woods and finishes makes it possible for every piece to be unique, while keeping alive the hallowed traditions of simplicity, utility, and durability.
