I live in a different Amish community in IN and the Amish do make the dolls to sell. The Amish in my community use old fashioned non electric sewing machines to sew-Maybe this is what the seller was saying. The dolls in my community go for a higher price than this.

non amish people started making them that way to sell, real amish do not, so how can you state this is hand made by ohio amish....also, what the heck is a trindle sewing machine, i have been to the singer sight and there is a treadle sewing machine but not a trindle sewing machine???? just curious
