The santoor is beautiful,
This review is from: Traditional Folk Music From Iran (Audio CD)
This cd has got eight compositions by Hossein Farjami, a contemporary Iranian musician who has been living in London for several decades. His main instrument is the santoor, a hammered dulcimer from the Middle East, and it is the most featured instrument in these pieces. Playing along with the santoor are violins, oud (a type of unfretted lute), nay (end-blown flute made of cane), and drums. The pieces are all very lovely, though the second piece seems edited strangely, it cuts off very oddly. Some of the songs would be appropriate for belly dance.
