a book to treasure,
By Leucippe (new york, ny USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Traditional Jewish Papercuts: An Inner World of Art and Symbol (Hardcover)
Jewish paper cuts constitute one of the finest repertoires of folk art, lovingly elaborated and often awesome in the felicity of color and design. the previous reviewer was looking for a pattern book not an art book that displays in gorgeous color a number of the finest specimens, accompanied by informative texts. Today this art form has attracted increasing attention from serious artists as well, who have contributed to the resurgence of interest in these beautiful creations.

Good book on papercuts, I guess. However, I was disappointed that the book doesn't provide patterns so that I can create these myself. My misunderstanding perhaps, but that was what I thought I'd find in this book.Just so you know.
