I drank this tea with my first child and am doing so again with my second. I really helps my milk production. I also talked a friend, who was having trouble producing enough, into trying it. She said it really helped! Even one cup a day is enough to give my milk a good boost. And I love that it's organic!

There is no doubt that this tea works wonders for increasing milk production. Within two days of drinking it 4-5 times a day I had more than enough milk. Actually my milk supply doubled! I am not a tea drinker so to me the taste is not very good. However increasing my milk supply is of course more important than the taste of the tea so if it didn't cause a terrible case of gas in my daughter than I would not have anything negative to say about it. But it made her so gassy that she did not sleep for almost an entire day.

I suggest others to start with one or two bags per day to see if it has any negative side effects on your baby. I know it doesn't happen to everyone, I'm just one of the lucky one's I guess.

I have since switched to taking fenugreek and blessed thistle capsules and I am again producing more milk than ever without any of the side effects the tea gave my daughter -Nature's Way Blessed Thistle (390mg) 100 Capsules + FREE Fenugreek (610mg) 100 Capsules. So, whatever it was that caused the gas in my baby, it doesn't appear to be the fenugreek or blessed thistle. I personally prefer the capsules anyways since I was not crazy about the flavor of this tea anyways.

I barely got through the rough 4 month (growth spurt) phase where my little one cluster fed for a good week. It wore me out!! So, when my little one started teething & cluster feeding at 6 months.. I really thought I wasn't going to keep up with his feedings. I could not feed him sufficiently. I was trying to pump between feedings to increase my supply. But, it just wasn't coming & he was getting so frustrated & cranky. He'd latch & be happy for a couple minutes and then start a tantrum. His diapers weren't as many as they should have been so I dug into my freezer & used my Breast milk supply I had pumped & saved over the months. When that was gone, I really panicked & out of desperation I offered a formula bottles. I felt so guilty bc I had goals of breastfeeding longer & I love the breastfeeding bond as my baby gets older. But, to my surprise & LUCKILY he refused the formula bottle. So, It made me research this issue online & found a forum of mommies that say Fenugreek and MOTHER'S MILK TEA is the way to go & helps increase a mom's milk supply. So, I ran out and got some TEA. *(I had no luck finding Fenugreek) By the next 12 hours, I heard my baby gulping milk again. He was getting full so he didn't cluster feed anymore. Now, after a week I'm pumping again and able to put some milk back in the freezer (jic mommy wants a night out). The tea is not bad. I'm a tea drinker though. I saw a lot of negative comments on the flavor and being able to keep it down. It taste like unsweet tea with a TINY hint of licorice. THE SMELL of it is stronger than the taste. Trust me!! If you are a desperate mommy that wants to be successful in BF then this tea is a piece of cake. I absolutely will tell all of you mommies, go out & stock up. Drink a minimum of 2 cups everyday (morning & night) to stabilize your milk. It has me nursing with ease again & has my spirits back up.

I have had 3 kids and used Mother's Milk tea after each to help stimulate lactation. I recommend the tea to all of my preggo friends and family. Yes, the tea has a bit of an anise or licorice flavor that's helped by a bit of honey if you're offended by anise/licorice. But the tea works.... I swear!

If you're breastfeeding and are worried that your milk supply might not be enough for your baby, I highly recommend this tea. It really works. Not only will it increase your milk supply, it will also help your baby sleep better. I particularly love the fact that it contains fennel - some people complain the tea makes them gassy, but what they don't realize is, baby needs to pass gas regularly to feel good and avoid stomach aches.

The taste is good. I got used to it very quickly and within just a few days this tea was pretty much the only thing I was drinking (well, this and the juices).

Long story short, thanks to this tea I managed to breastfeed my baby girl exclusively for 5 whole months, and am still going strong, even though I do tend to get lazy and skip the night-time pumping session. Which in my book makes it worth the money!

This is my second child, and I didn't produce well for the first one, so I'd pretty much resigned myself to minimal milk production and the theory that anything was better than nothing. I was pumping at work three times a day and taking home about 9 ounces of milk total (and at that, it's more than I'd managed with the first child) when I caught a cold, and my production started to dwindle again, even though I wasn't taking any drugs. Frustrated but unwilling to wean my baby at only 2 months old, I started taking this tea in the hope that it would at least sustain my current level of production. Because it's a little on the expensive side (I was buying it locally at the full retail price) I only drank 3 cups a day. (It recommends 3-5.)

A week later, with my cold only just starting to clear up, I was taking home almost 12 ounces of milk. Another week and a half later, I'm catching another cold (the downside of having 2 kids in daycare...) but I'm taking home a solid 14-15 ounces of milk every day. This tea is the ONLY THING I have done differently -- no other supplements or dietary changes, no changes in feeding or pumping schedules -- so I know for sure it's the tea that's doing it!

I don't know where its effectiveness will level out, or if my production will continue to stay elevated if I stop drinking the tea, but at this point, I'm just thrilled with the short term results!

At first I wasn't very excited about the flavor but the most important part was it helped me build up my milk supply. After a while I started to enjoy the flavor and I really like it. I still drink it when I want tea since it is better for me while I breastfeed. My lactation consultant recommended it and now so do i.

I ordered this product and after a week of drinking it 3 times a day, I didn't notice a thing! It sucks bc now I am stuck with 5 unopened boxes of the tea. I do like the taste now espically with adding honey. I ordered the fenugreek and blessed thistle and I am producing much more now!! Hope this helps somebody

I returned to work when my little guy was 3 months old and by 5 months I had used ALL my freezer stash. My baby had only had breastmilk but I couldn't keep up with what they fed him at daycare.

He eats 16oz while I am at work. I was pumping 3-4 times at work for 20 minutes at a time and only getting 2 1/2 oz per session. I was so frustrated and exhausted! I tried everything: more water, more frequent pumping sessions, more frequent nursing while with the baby, I even took a nursing weekend where all I did was nurse and pump and rest but I still couldn't get more than 3 oz per pumping session.

I started with 5 cups of tea per day. I don't like the smell or flavor of black licorice so I was worried that I would have to gag this tea down...it isn't pleasant but it is tolerable. I can even drink it without adding sugar, honey, or milk but it will never be a drink I like or want.

Day one I really didn't see any change at all.

Day two I pumped 3 times and got 11 oz which was the most I had gotten at work in weeks.

Day three I pumped 3 times at work and each time I got 5 oz or more. I ended the day with 17 oz and was thrilled! That evening I nursed my son when we got home but could tell I wasn't empty so I pumped right after nursing and got another 2oz. That night I leaked through the night and had to change my shirt...now I don't drink any tea after 6 pm.

I've been using the tea for only ten days now and have started a new freezer stash that is currently at 20 oz. The peace of mind is great, knowing I have extra. I am consistently pumping 5oz per session and getting the extra 2-3oz after my nursing session with my son at 5:30 and sometimes I pump at 8 p.m. after nursing and get another 2-3 oz. As an added bonus, my little guy was still waking every two hours until I started drinking this tea. The past three nights he has slept 4 hours at a time.
