This is a splendid opportunity to combine your love of coloring books, needlework, folk art, design, etc. into one fun book!

There are endless hours of creative relaxation here. If you purchase multiple copies or make photocopies for yourself the endless combinations become evident. Try this: complete one, put it away for a while and do it again. You'll be shocked at how different the second project is.

A very big bonus (at least for me) is that this particular coloring book seemed to open up new approaches in my needlework. It's caused me to look at planned projects with a fresh eye. In that way, I see Traditional Patchwork Quilt Designs as a very educational book.

Highly recommended!

I am 59 and have about 25 of these Dover Coloring books and really like all but 2 of them. (it is just a matter of what you like, though). When you buy these from Amazon, you get one free if you buy 3. I took the suggestion of several reviewers and bought a good set of colored pencils. I got regular and fine line. My daughter (also an adult) wanted to color some, too. I came up with the idea to copy them on my printer for her. Then I decided to copy all of them when I want to color. This way we can use the pictures over and over. It is nice to use a heavier printer paper. Be careful, we find it to be a very addicting past time!

I use coloring for meditation and relaxation. This serves those purposes AND helps me try out color patterns for my quilting

the patterns are too large...waste of marker because of too much space however the paper is a good quality...not intricate!

Got these for my daughter, along with a set of Prismacolors. She absolutely loves them and I have to admit, so do I. So, I've bought a second set of books. Let the art contests begin! The patchwork quilt book is a little simpler than the Geometric design book, so may be boring to some. Be forewarned that they are not for use with markers as the paper is too think for markers and the pages are double sided. But, they work great with pencils.

I love this because it gives me an opportunity to see what a quilt would look like in different colors. I recommend making copies of the pictures and color them in. If you use gel or pens, be careful, because they would bleed into the page behind. Loved this. Never thought I would buy myself a color book. LOL

This is a great coloring book for kids or big kids, crayons or colored markers. There are lots of choices in the book and plenty of challenges for everyone. The pages are clearly printed on good quality paper. Have fun.

If you want to get ripped off, buy these products!! The printed price on the book is less than half what they charged!! The paper is very cheap and bled through many pages when using markers!

I chose this rating because if markers are used, the color bleeds through to the design on the reverse side.
Thicker paper or one sided designs would solve the problem, I believe.

We have enjoyed each of these books that we have tried. What a neat concept to make a coloring book for "big kids."
I am very pleased with our purchase.
