2.0 out of 5 stars Way too fast and not enough instruction
I was looking for clear step by step instructions to improve my form. This instructor performs the moves way too fast, making it impossible to follow grasp what he is doing. To make it useful I will need pause and rewind a lot.

I would advise anyone in the study and practise of Taekwondo to make the investment and purchase these videos. If you want the basics with the information on not only the 'how' but the 'why' then you need these Volumes. I've been involved with the study and practise of Taekwondo for over twenty six plus years, and found the Videos very precise. Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang does so well in showing the correct execution and method to the forms that you feel as if he is right next to you showing you how to perform the movements. I also enjoyed the example of the movements and how they defend-attack in the form. This enables the viewer to get a better understanding not only how to execute the movement, at the same time, how to utilize it. I will always purchase any new informational video that Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang has to offer.

I am an experienced martial artist but am new to the world of Taekwon-Do. I LOVE this video! Each of the patterns are demonstrated first by Grand Master Tae Sun Kang with amazing precision. His students (also black belts as well) then demonstrate the pattern in a step-by-step fashion, pausing to show the applications in defense. Grand Master narrates the steps, describing them in detail.
The initial pattern performed by Grand Master Kang is what you should be striving for. It was well worth the price and I have used it several times to perfect my footwork and pick up little nuances that make the pattern look more crisp and efficient. I would highly recommend this video to adult beginners or intermediate students of Taekwon-Do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Taekwondo Forms, August 3, 2007
This review is from: Traditional Taekwondo Forms Volume One (DVD)
I found this DVD and Volume two to be very helpful. Practice is needed though. Watching GMaster Tae and his students makes me sleepy because energy of thought is greater than performing the forms. These DVDs demonstrate the intensity where books lack to instruct; however both are recommended as an aid to second sourcing instruction in this great art.

I take Taekwondo and this video really helps me perfect my pattern. It slows down the action so I can see subtle movements that I often miss in class and also helps me practice my patern between classes.

I really enjoy this video. It has each form done, the first time by the Master, very fast, and the second time the form is done slowly and explained. If you ever forget how a part of the form is done, just watch it over and over.

Accurate depiction of advanced forms make it easy to follow and master traditional tae kwon do hyung. A great reference video for continued learning and maintaining proficiency.

Great DVD for ITF TaeKwon Do beginners; However it is not a true ITF TaeKwon Do DVD also Master Tae Sun Kang doesn't appear to be a true ITF TaeKwon Do instructor. These forms could have been performed better by many students, all the patterns performed by Master Kang were done much too fast.
