This is an OK book, but unfortunately Bentley's predatory practice of reorganizing the same information or renumbering the chapters every year or so keeps students buying the expensive paperback, selling it back for far less to bookstores which then cannot sell it. The contents of the book are indistinguishable from other editions; you don't need the newest one.

If you need this book for a class, buy a used one and refuse to support Bentley's intellectual laziness.

This book is extremely well-researched and presented. The authors do a great job identifying patterns in world history and tying regions together. Every chapter begins with an interesting story that serves as an example for a concept described in that chapter, and there are many primary sources included in the book as a way of reinforcing concepts. I have reviewed many world history books and this one is simply the best. For AP World History students, as far as I am concerned, it is the gold standard. The textbook website is excellent, as well.

I ordered this book for a class my son is taking in a private high school. The book was much cheaper than the book store and arrived quickly. It was also in the exact condition describe on the website. I would definitely order from this shipper again.

If you love history, this is the book for you! Goes over everything in DEEP detail!!! This is a COLLEGE book so it's definitely hard to read and understand but you will definitely enjoy it!
