Paul was born overseas in 1970, a military child. Raised in that environment, it was no surprise when he enlisted for service in 1991. A federally licensed pilot since 1990, Paul jumped at the opportunity, excited at having the chance to fly for the military and for his country. He took the job, received his training, and was sent to Saudi Arabia. It was there that he fell victim to the anti-American terrorist bombing of Khobar Towers in 1996, rendering him comatose. Since that tragic day, Paul has persevered. This is Paul’s story, how he ascended from tragedy to triumph, and the tribulations he experienced in between.
