Tragicomic,
By r spielman (portland, or, usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tragicomic (Audio CD)
Tragicomic- the biggest hinderance to this song is the male vocalist. He delivers his lines inarticulately, preventing the song from getting any punch to it. He mummbles through his parts, leaving us with little to hold onto or remember. The female vocalist, on the other hand, is quite good. Her voice ranges from full and cutting to a quiet whisper. Unfortunately, her parts are few. Tragicomic "beyond real mix"- Remixed by Dj Spinna, this version of the song is refreshing after the first. It adds a stronger beat, some flutes and a peppering of interesting sounds. Tragicomic instrumental- This track is also good because it focuses on what I bought the CD for, Dj Krush's music. The hook is a nice, catchy bass and the beat is well constructed. Unfortunately the song was made to be rapped over so the first half of it passes by without much variation. After that the song picks up, though. The bass changes around a bit and a synthesiser steps in and out. But, overall dissapointing considering Krush's other work.

This Song KIX!,

And I think the actual rap bits may actually be in Korean...but i'm not sure...Either way, it's a great and rarified song, and ACO (one of my favourite Japanese singers) sings a great chorus. This song gets stuck in my head SO OFTEN even though i've barely a clue what they're talking of (and wanna find out;)Reccomended!:)

Krush and Japan,
By Liquid (Europe - BY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tragicomic (Krush Self Remix) (Audio CD)
Rare and very interesting disk. Many good themes of downtempo music was burn in Japan. Country with great trip-hop electronicaly atmosphere. Krush was born in Japan. Native power helped to him to made a greatest music self-remixes. Profesional scratches, calm drum loops and soft, very soft sound of Krush`s magic trip-hop. Its like a dream, dream with Japanese experience...
