Regarded as El Sonero Mayor, Ismael Rivera truly earned this title and this album is proof of why. Almost every single track is hit, from "Que Te Pasa a Ti" with excellent soneos, to "Orgullosa" and "Traigo de Todo". Maelo is one of those artists that's truly a great in my opinion and his wide variety of topics and his ability to adapt to different musical styles make him even greater. He can do everything from boleros to calypsos as the album's title suggests. I suggest you get this one while available.

This 1974 release from Ismael Rivera is truly indispensable. Timeless Salsa classics like "El Nazareno", "Que Te Pasa A Ti", "Witinila", "Yo No Quiero Piedras En Mi Camino" and the title track were all huge hits that sound as great today as they did back in 1974. When you listen to (and enjoy) this ageless classic of Puerto Rican Salsa you will understand why Ismael is regarded as Puerto Rico's greatest Salsa sonero (improvising Salsa singer). To top it all off, this CD reissue's sound quality is EXCELLENT (Thank You, Emusica Records!). Enjoy!
