This is a very interesting book that can be read in about an hour. It tells the history of the Baptists and how they were persecuted by the Catholic church. Many died for the Baptist beliefs, especially the refusal to baptize infants.

Great and Accurate History of Christianity!!!,

This review is from: The Trail of Blood (Kindle Edition)
This is a very accurate account of the history of the Churches and the history of Christianity as a whole. I'm very impressed with the way Dr. J.M. Carroll clearly and accurately researched all his information and all the books he researched are listed in the the Trail of Blood. This not only shows complete and accurate accounts of information but also shows the honesty and integrity of Dr. Carroll and the day and time that he lived in. Dr. Carrol would have had no motive nor intentional reason for misrepresenting any information but on the contrary the whole purpose of the lectures compiled in this book was to search for the truth and nothing but the truth of the origin and history of christianity for his own personal question as to why there were so many different denominations. The research Dr Carrol gives, is written by him but the information is derived and compiled from documented history given of actual accounts recorded in past history books and writings of not only christians that died for their beliefs but also by there persecutors themselves. If you want to get at the truth of true Christianity and the true origins of all the demoninations in this world and are seeking the truth then I urge you to buy and read this book with the heart of like Dr Carrol had to know the truth and find it. There is no doubt Dr. Carrol found it.

reasonable,
This review is from: The Trail of Blood (Paperback)
I had read negative reviews when I bought this book, but was pleasantly surprised to find nothing unreasonable in it. The history consists of some conjecture, but nothing that isn't supported by far older historians. The claims to the contrary are not any better. After all, all histories have some guesswork. The doctrine set forth is questionable, but the history is OK.
