This is the third book in Charles Saunders' excellent Imaro series. It continues the story from the second book, giving a bit more information about Imaro's past (what happened to his father and mother), as well as the beginnings of an invasion, a rising tide of evil Mchwai magic.

If you liked the first two books, if you enjoy Robert E Howard, you'll most likely love this book and the entire Imaro series. It's one of the best, most well-written fantasy novels I've ever read. It's not anything deep or life-changeing, but it is a great fun read.

Why is this book out of print?? The first two in the series have been reprinted by Nightshade books, hopefully this one will be back in print soon, too. I'm looking forward to it.
