Bud Shank was on of my earlier heores. Conti Candoli and those west coast guys were playing great Jazz. However, traditionalist always frown on those "CATS", especially in the 50's & 60's. But remember this, DOLPHY, DEXTER, MULLIGAN, & CHET BAKER all came out of the west. Bud Shank is outstanding here, and yet he doesn't hog the show !
