The finest comedy team of all time, bar none, present here a side of their work that has long been overlooked in the past - the musical interludes they began adopting into their films. It is often forgotten that whilst Stan Laurel was the smaller of the two physically, he played the bigger part in shaping the pair's destiny, and it was his decision to incorporate songs and some dance routines into the storylines. 'Trail Of The Lonesome Pine' originally appeared in the 1937 film Way Out West and became a smash hit single in 1975. Other memorable songs from their films include 'Honolulu Baby', 'Never Mind Bo Peep' and 'Fra Diavolo'. In fact, close your eyes and you will probably be able to visualise the relevant film from each song. Which is probably another fine mess we've got you into!
