This review is from: On the Trail of the Real Macbeth, King of Alba (Paperback)
The thing that first impressed me when I opened this book was the table that prefaced the rest of the book detailing the differences between the historical MacBeth and Shakespeare's creation. Then you have the history of MacBeth, the evolution of Shakespeare's character, and at the very back a travel guide. When in Scotland you could quite literally follow in the footsteps of the only Northern King of Alba, though the places may look a bit different than when he was there.
