Product Description

On the night of his 16th birthday Duke Johnson and his friends go out joyriding near the local cemetery. After a friend's horrific rape, Mason -the school bully- is killed in a tragic accident.

Duke, Fannie Mae, and Barrett, go home to the Rosie Acres Trailer Park and desperately try to figure out how to keep themselves out of trouble. This could wreck any chance for a future and ruin their one hope of getting out of the trailer park.

What they don't realize is that Mason has come back from the dead and he hungers for flesh. And revenge.

The trailer park is cut off from the world and over the course of the rest of that fateful weekend the inhabitants try to fend off the zombies. Most are eaten, then killed, then get right back up again as ravenous zombies.

Who will stand and who will fall?

Have you ever felt like you were trapped in a B-Movie? That is what the main characters of Trailer Park Zombie's felt like throughout this creepy little fun romp. The story revolves around three high school friends and one really bad weekend they are having in their trailer park. The story is told from the perspective of Duke (leader, birthday boy and possibly something more) and lets us into his world and what it was like before and after the undead walked into it. With zombie hordes infiltrating their homes and reeking havoc, the three friends have to protect themselves and their neighbors from becoming a zombie buffet. Love, epic battles, a hero, a mystery - what else could you want? Plus, it keeps you guessing until the end. TPZ is a funny, gory, easy read! It has all the best aspects of those B-Movies we all love! I loved it so much I read it twice :)

4.0 out of 5 stars A "Good Read", May 31, 2010

I was grabbed by the title and the premise: Trailerpark Zombies. Gee -- sounds like fun. And it is. If you're a zombie fan, you will dig this book. The story has the grueling, relentless feel of "Night of the Living Dead" (a somewhat audacious, but I think legitimate comparison). There are a number of suspenseful/scary/horrific scenes - with good variation in the situations, ranging from tense walking-down-the-corridor stuff, to large-scale zombie attacks. There's plenty of gore, too, as the book illustration suggests. Jason Jones is not Stephen King, but he is a good storyteller, who knows how to construct an engaging plot and keep it moving at a nice, brisk pace. In particular, the three main characters are well-developed, and the romantic subplot works surprisingly well. I can't say it kept me up all night -- not quite. But almost. It's a page-turner (page-clicker?) that kept me reading several hours past my bedtime. And for $1.99, you can't beat the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for the price., March 28, 2010

Story was pretty good and was well worth the price I paid on the Kindle. Story involves a guy that kills someone on accident and starts a zombie plague. End of story has an interesting twist.
