Directory gives locations for many campgrounds, but not nearly all. Rating system for campgrounds is meaningless. Have found campgrounds with very high ratings that are terrible and vice versa. Looks like ratings may be obtained by paying higher fees for listings. It is a helpful publication but use with caution. Campground may or may not have facilities listed (wi-fi, modems, clearance, internal road surfaces) and be especially careful if you are driving a big rig.

This had all we needed for our first RV trip (a rental). Since we knew nothing going out it was a great help in locating campgrounds and their descriptions were accurate. One note; we found a campground in the Redwoods (Calif.) that was great but not in the book. They said it was because the publishers charge $300 to $700 dollars for a listing and they couldn't justify the cost since they fill up without it.

I gave this book to my dad for father's day right before his trip to Missouri. He told me it came in handy and used it to find several campgrounds along the way. The extra ads in the book that the bigger campgrounds buy are a good reference if you want to stay where there is more entertainment or things to do etc. Overall it lists all the campgrounds and makes it easy to do additional research on a particular area or campground via the internet.

We found this guide to be very helpful in planning our trips. I liked the tabs for states for quick reference. The rating system and descriptions are short and complete.

Bought this book along with "The next exit" and they made an excellent pair and proved very useful on our cross country trip from california to alabama. Would buy again and highly recommend.

A Reliable, detailed guide to RV parks and Campgrounds. It is good, but not excellent. Needs headers connecting campgrounds and Interstates, as well as a subject such for specific amenities. BSH

We used this book to locate RV parks, since we are new to the travel trailer lifestyle. It has many options for staying in different parks.

A grest help in finding camping spots on the route between TX and WI. Would recommend.

This book was ordered prior to a trip. The expected delivery time would allow plenty of time before departing. The book did not arrive. Only later was I notified that the book was out of stock.
