About the Author
Jeff Ball's journey with the courting flute began when he started attending Pow Wows and researching his family's history. He had been told that he was the descendant of an American Indian but never knew the tribal affiliation. While researching his roots, he was exposed to many things, including traditional music. He became almost obsessed with the flute in particular, and with some instruction from a Chocktaw man named Windtamer, began to play.
As time passed, Jeff developed an understanding and appreciation for American Indian flute music, and discovered how to convey emotion through the music of the flute.
Jeff Ball now has several beautiful flute recordings to his credit, including Reverence, Mixed Blooed, Windtamer, and his latest release, Cedar Moon.
