Starts out good...,
This review is from: Trails Of The Dime Novel (Paperback)
The book starts out good for the first three chapters. But it's all down hill after that. In some chapters the main character is not the main character and has little involvement in the story. The idea behind the book is good but the finished product was very disappointing for me.

A good, old-fashioned romp through the Old West,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Trails Of The Dime Novel (Paperback)
Trails of the Dime Novel is an unusual Western, about a young man in the late 1800's who set out west to write dramatic stories that would capture the imagination of the reading populace, and found himself living them instead. Mortal peril, the threat of thieves, hostile Indians, and the challenges of surviving and no man's land with few laws and less enforcement make for an exciting succession of dangerous adventures that provide the would-be writer with source material to craft popular stories beyond his wildest dreams. A good, old-fashioned romp through the Old West, resonating with the memories of classic cowboy movies, stories, tall tales and culture.
