5.0 out of 5 stars "I've never run from a fight, and I'm not about to start now." Fargo, October 16, 2009
This review is from: Trailsman 177: Colorado Wolfpack (Paperback)

In the southwest mountains of Colorado,in 1861,while the rest of the country is embroiled in "The War Between the States";Skye Fargo gets himself involved in a war of his own.He is trying to help an Indian widow get her life together while an Indian brave wants to claim her against her will.At the same time a very formidable and notorious outlaw,Wolf Robbins has his sights set on taking away a gold mine from a midget prospector,Ike McDermott, who might be small in stature ,but has a foul temper and fully determined to strike against the bloodthirsty gang and even a tribe of Indians to keep his new found treasure.Enter Skye Fargo, who is determined that the Outlaws and Indians, are thwarted in their evil intentions.
This whole situation provides lots of action and fights to the finish. We get ambushes, long chases with both bullets and arrows flying everywhere,stand-offs in the mountains and deserts, captures, excapes and rescues, and even a fierce hand to hand knife contest. When all seems but hopeless, our midget miner comes up with a plan that puts the end to this fight that would make the Civil War back in the East and South, tranquil by comparison.
This is a well constructed yarn, filled with lots of action, suspense, and interesting, well developed characters ,that grips the reader from start to finish.
