5.0 out of 5 stars "Some things, maybe it was better just not knowing.", March 19, 2010

The Trailsman planned to spend a few days in New Orleans, just to get a taste of city life.It didn't take long for him to get involved in a dust-up that kept leading from one thing to another. The Trahearne brothers are running a scam that is bound to bring them nothing but trouble. Not often does Skye Fargo take up with scam artists;but this time it is different. This leads to a riverboat trip that is full of surprises and lots of action.the writing is not particularly colorful, but the characters make up for what is lacking in that department.A bit of everything is involved, the army,Indians, outlaws,a situation with seemingly impossible odds, and a surprise ending that is best left unknown to some of those involved. It is a good yarn;although different from most situations that our hero usually gets himself involved in.
