This review is from: Train Ride to Hell (J. D. Hardin, No. 71) (Paperback)
Pinkerton operatives Doc Weatherbee and Raider escort a group of Russian nobility on a hunting trip, and are pursued by a criminal gang from Russia, who intend to kill the royal family.
It's not a bad read, but this team of ghost writers has certainly done better in past novels. I think the series was canceled after this entry. Perhaps the authors had run out of ideas for Doc and Raider stories. Try "The Swindler's Trail" or "The Pecos Dollars" or "San Juan Shootout" for some lively story telling. |
