Fun for All Ages,
By Sarah (Norwalk, CT United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Train Song (Hardcover)
My son is almost two. He absolutely loves when I read him this book...over and over again. He even tries to read it with me. The rhyming and repetition keep his attention. He turns each page with great anticipation. He really loves the illustrations and pointing to all the pictures. It's one of his favorites and it's fun for parents to read, too! I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone.

Loads of pleasure for your child,
By A Customer
This review is from: Train Song (Hardcover)
My 16 month old loves this book. He would have us read it over and over again and never seems to tire of the story. The rhtyhm of the words and the simple and bold illustrations make this book an attention getter. As soon as I come home in the evening my son starts "choo-choo" and "clikkity-clak". He loves it.

A must if your child likes stories about trains,
By A Customer
This review is from: Train Song (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful story. It reads well and the illustrations are beautiful. After only hearing it a few times my 3 1/2 year old son was "reading" the story along with me. This is definately a must have book if your child likes stories about trains or if you just want to get your child interested in reading period.

I've lost track of how many times we've checked out this book from our library. Terrific story and pics. We can't get enough...enjoy the ride.

My son loves all the pictures,
By Scott Woodard (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Train Song (Hardcover)
My nearly 3 year old son loves following along with all the pictures as the parts of the train unfold in the book. He knows them all by heart--we got it at the library and kept renewing it. They have a limit on renewals; we're happy to buy it.

You won't be sorry. The text flows in such a rhythm, my 2 year old had it memorized after a few readings. It is a much requested story around here. A must for any little train lover!

Fun,

My son is almost four and thinks this is the best book ever. We have to read the book at least twice before he goes to bed. It has a great pattern to the words which keeps it interesting. It is definately at the top of our list.

A favourite for our 2yo,
By
This review is from: Train Song (Hardcover)
This book has quickly become a favourite of our 2yo son, who has started chanting the lyrics all by himself - really delightful to see him warm to a book so much.
One of our pages has been ripped out - I'd LOVE to know the two couplets between "Down the hill and put on the brake, Engineer can't make a mistake" and "Watch the smoke that fills the sky, As that train goes rolling by". Images are the train steaming up a hill, and the caboose passing a barn. If you have a copy handy, please pass those two on to xurizaemon@gmail.com or comment here! |
