Train Tales,

This review is from: Train Tales (Paperback)
Written with emotion and candor, Train Tales will take its readers to places most of them have never seen. There is a darker side to life, but even within that darkness there is light.
Lisa Candelaria Bartlett has an uncanny way of pulling a reader into her stories. You will meet her characters and love them or hate them, but they will stay with you long after the final page has been read. A story that will pull you through a myriad of emotions, Train Tales is not a journey you want to miss.

So maybe you turn your head away from the homeless man staggering down the street. Or ignore the curled up body bundled beneath tattered blankets on the park bench. Not in Train Tales.
In this unique collection of fictional diary-style entries, you'll experience the hearts and minds of the homeless. Through crisp writing that grabs the reader, and then she turns softly like a flutter of a butterfly's wing, Bartlett showcases her diverse style moving from poetry, to poetic expression, to solid descriptive narrative. Written with pace, and intrigue, these 73 pages are packed with love, passion, murder, and the everyday challenges every person faces regardless of their address.
