Impressive.....,

I am a bodybuilder and I thought it was worth it to check this out. I have been able to get my body fat down to 4% which is the lowest it's ever been. I have a competition coming up and this book has become my bible. Anyone looking to really make some progress should at least check this out at a bookstore.

Low-carbers need this book!,

I have lost 15 lbs. in less than a month and can't believe it. I was worried I was gaining weight. This book is a great match with the Atkin's diet book and really breaks things down in a way I understand them. I can't believe the author was ever truly fat, and if there weren't pics I don't think I would. I only have 10 more lbs. to lose and this book has made it so easy. It has great charts and lists (like low-carb and glycemic index, etc.) so I only need to take one book to the grocery store when I go shopping, instead of the three or four I had before.

I've leafed through a few books on weight and nutrition, but was never tempted to buy one as a reference, or to keep. I felt differently about this one. It not only has solid information you can actually apply TODAY, but it was a fun read. What I liked best was its no-nonsense approach to weight loss -- it's unlike most other weight-loss books, that tempt you with empty promises that are unrealistic.
It's true that you only have yourself to be accountable to, and Mr. Smith also points out the need for inner motivation. I really felt that this book was a realistic, eye-opening, and honest approach toward weight-loss. I highly recommend it, and thank Mr. Al Smith, Jr. for writing it! |
