This review is from: Training for Bloody Omaha: Activation, Training and Combat of the 5th Ranger Infantry Battalion Through 8 June 1944 (Paperback)
This book is definitely for the "insider", for those of us that really love and are deeply involved with the 5th RGR BN.

The author shows you the war through his eyes.
The recollections dont come easy, specially when talking about the fallen comrades.
Training, activation and landing at Omaha on H-Hour D-Day, you are in for a ride.

And you will be a better person by understanding "first hand" what it was to be a Ranger in WWII
