Dominant/submissive relationships are so often misunderstood and sensationalized that it's a great pleasure to find an author with such a deep, intuitive understanding of the subject. Miss Abernathy takes the novice (or even the more advanced) submissive through each step of training--from figuring out what kind of slave you want to be, to the details of acting as an escort, butler, lady's maid, or sex slave. Throughout the book, she emphasizes that 24-7 slavehood is a vocation, not just a sexy hobby (although it can be that, too).

Miss Abernathy will give you everything you need to become an outstanding erotic slave--except, of course, a willing dominant.

Training with Miss Abernathy is the follow up to Christine Abernathy's excellent book on BDSM training "Miss Abernathy's Concise Slave Training Manual". As the book states, her first book is the theory, while the second book is the practice.

The manual contains fifty lessons designed to help the reader explore various elements of BSDM service. It begins with assessment exercises that help to establish basic views and expectations of service. The next two sections contain lessons geared to ensure that a slave has basic personal and household management skills necessary to function effectively. The most extensive section has a series a lessons which are organized around specific types of service: sex, maids/valets, house servants and escorts. The final section, advanced lessons, deals with the practical realities of the tricky issues associated with full time (i.e. live-in) relationships.

Because it covers a wide range of service, it does not dwell at any length upon a particular specialty. However, the book's delicate, precise prose and interesting exercises make an excellent sourcebook for aspiring dominants and/or would be slaves. Once again, Miss Abernathy has delivered a little gem for the BDSM community.

I can't give the second of this two part series 5 stars because there are some problems and cautions I feel need to be shared first. This second book by Miss Abernathy is set out as a series of lessons to be undertaken (ideally) by a wouldbe erotic slave and an owner or trainer. However, the order of the chapters is a bit odd at times so when I use it I assign lessons in an order which makes better sense to me. Likewise I do not agree with every idea or exercise so I use those lessons to get discussion going or just ignore them. The book is great because it is divided into general training then more advanced or specialized types of erotic slavery. A book for the very serious Ds relationships...Just don't think you have to use the book as it is written and it will serve you much better.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in either becoming or training erotic slaves. I especially appreciated Abernathy's emphasis on the fact that erotic slavehood is a vocation, something different for those of us to whom "BDSM" is more than fun and games or a spiced up sex life. One may, however, feel that Abernathy is preaching a "One Way" approach but when read closely it is clear this is merely one of many ways that "BDSM" may be part of your life. Not for those who do not seriously value service and long term, intense preparation.

What a wonderful handy book for lifestlye folk. BDSM at its best. Covers everything from Mind Body & Soul of a subbie for use by Masters on their pets or for a submissive seeking the Master (of their Universe) an preparing them for all types of service.

I finally got my hands on a copy of this book. It was well worth the wait. I think it has some very good exercises in it for learning to notice the small details in pleasing your Master. It was an easy read, and not a book that I will be willing to part with anytime soon if ever. It is written in a Mistress tone and if you can overcome that you will be able to enjoy this book. I had hoped it would cover more of the discipline aspects in training slaves but it is still a great book.
