About the Author

Tom Veneziano has been an athlete all his life. He was a wrestler and gymnast in high school, and ventured into the tennis arena in his first year of college. Tom began using his Tennis Warrior System from the moment he started playing. With this extraordinary system of thinking incorporated with his playing technique, he quickly attained the No. 1 position on the tennis team and was granted a tennis scholarship. Tom graduated in 1971 from Parson’s College in Fairfield, Iowa with a BA degree in Physical Education. His love for tennis inspired him to pursue a career as a teaching pro. Tom works at the Piney Point Racquet Club in Houston, Texas, where he has taught his innovative Tennis Warrior System for twenty years. Thousands of players have learned to play better tennis, to become mentally tougher, and to win more through this unique system. Tom writes articles for national magazines and websites, has produced books, tapes, and CDs, and writes a monthly online newsletter to help players understand the dynamics of his Tennis Warrior System.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Bret Essing on February 22, 2006
Format: Audio CD
I own most (if not all) of the Tom Veneziano TennisWarrior System of CDs and Books and the CD "Training For Pressure Play" is one of the best so far. I have listened to this CD many times and each time I listen, I learn something new. It's like having dozens of lessons for the price of one CD. I used a couple of the tips in one of my first matches after listening to the CD and I was shocked at just how well I played when I "got out of my own way, relaxed and let the game happen."

I have taken a lot of lessons over the years, but nothing I have run across has helped my game as much as the information on the TennisWarrior website, books, tips and CDs. This system has saved me hundreds of dollars in lessons and improved my game at the same time.

This CD has some really good points, common sense, that we all need to be reminded of from time to time.
I like that he states; that not all strokes need to be "textbook" but can be improved to be dependable.
It all comes down to dedicating the time and effort to "do what you need to do to get the results you want".
