Editorial Reviews

Direct from the pages of TRAINS Magazine, based on its popular "On Location" photo series! Experience the dramatic, action-packed stretch of rugged Western railroad known as Cajon Pass, the gateway to Los Angeles. Climb aboard a Santa Fe "Comfort Cab" diesel and ride a fast freight through breathtaking scenery. Listen to working railroaders talk about the challenge of running in the Pass. Trackside scenes of trains in all the famous Cajon locations: Sullivan's Curve, Blue Cut, Cajon, Summit and Frost. Dispatchers in Santa Fe's high-tech operations center show the secrets of keeping the trains running. "Trains On Location, Cajon Pass" was originally produced in 1995 and was the first in a video series about North America's greatest railfan locations. Produced by Paul D. Schneider, railroad author and creator of the acclaimed "FastTrack" video series. Now re-released in 2004 direct from the original master "Cajon Pass" is better than ever! The DVD's SPECIAL FEATURES contain un-edited picture and sound taken directly from the original source footage, including trains conquering the Pass in May of 2001. NTSC Format SPECIAL FEATURES INCLUDE: Over 1 hour of additional trains! Dobly Digital Sound, chapter search and more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another "Trains" Masterpiece January 10, 2007
Why Kalmbach ever decided to leave the "Trains On Location" business is beyond me, and makes no sense. They are the ONLY people in the industry who know the meaning of the word QUALITY. Scenery, story, subject, sound, everything is perfect and proper. They need to produce MORE!
