Another Excellent Falconer Novel,

This review is from: Traitor (Stratton 6) (Paperback)
Traitor is Duncan Falconer's sixth novel featuring Royal Marine Special Boat Service Operator John Stratton. The story mixes an espionage and a special operations thriller.
Here the reader sees John Stratton in the naval commando role - dry suits, minisubs, and underwater operations. First, Stratton is sent to Sevastopol to recon a new Russia high-tech ship. Then he is involved in an oil platform hijacking working with members of MI-16, the SIS R&D section. But things and people are not what they seem! Falconer weaves a credible plot whch leads John Stratton to a "James Bond" showdown in Siberia. Duncan Falconer's SBS background enables him to put real technical details in the story without bogging it down. If Daniel Craig weren't James Bond, he'd be a great John Stratton. |
