I purchased this title thinking it would be a good guide for the current Traktor DJ Studio software. It is not. Though it was printed in 2005, it appears to be a guide for the original version of the software. It is impossible to follow the set-up instructions because all of the screenshots and most of the commands are now different. If you are using the current 3.0 version, this will be of little - or no - use to you.

This was a little more basic than what I was hoping for. There was a lot of banal material involving loading of files, organizing workspace... I bought it the day it came out & It was a bit of a letdown.I really wish the section on recording and doing fixups / overdubs was more expansive. Traktor 2 was very buggy in this regard & there needs to be a good walkthrough out there covring everything that can go wrong beyond what's in the manual. |
