Have a Trance Party in your home, car, or office!,
By Dance Music Guy (Cajun Country, LA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Trance Party (Volume Two) (Audio CD)
Robbins brings you all the current big-timers of trance with their latest attempt. Even though some of the remixes and song blending aren't great, this should be well suited for even the average trance fan. The quality of the artists is what makes this compilation worth your coin. You've got DJ Sammy w/ Yanou & Do(vocalist) with their awesome "Heaven", DJ Encore w/Engelina's sweet "I See Right Trough to You", Perpetuous Dreamer's beautiful "Sound Of Goodbye", Plummet w/Nikki's powerful "Damaged", Terra Skye's echoed "Is This Love?", Ian Van Dahl's new smash "Will I?", Dee Dee's lyric-filled "Forever", and Darude's Sandstorm-esque "Feel the Beat". They also could not have chosen a better instrumental track than PPK's "Resurection" with it's xylophone blips and spacey synths. This one will blow you away! The rest of the tracks on this CD will also not disappoint especially Lasgo's "Something", Noemi's "In My Dreams", and Hannah's "Blinded". If you are a fan of female-vocal trance, like myself, then you definitely don't want to miss this one! It's quite possibly Robbins finest. Go ahead, have your self a Trance Party. If my review was helpful to you, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!

Trace Party Series Continues To Be Worthy Investment,
By A Customer
This review is from: Trance Party (Volume Two) (Audio CD)
I will not pretend to be an "expert" on trance music or the mixing of such songs. I can't honestly tell you the difference between House and Rave, which may disqualifiy me in some people's eyes (or ears). But for most of us commoners, what we really want is simply good music...regardless of the "type".That being said up front, I will tell you that I genuinely enjoyed Trance Party Volume 2. Not too long ago, I purchased Trance Party Volume 1 and was impressed. This is the only series of trance music on CD I would recommend to my friends or trust in future volumes. Sorry folks, there are simply too many continual mix CD's in the market place (regardless of category) that are full of bad music selections. Previously, I have purchased other trance CD's and have come away with maybe 2 to 3 songs from the entire CD that I enjoyed. Reminds me of the days of the "one good song" on an album and the rest of the songs were nothing more than "filler". Obviously, no one person is going to like every song or even the minute aspect of how the mixing of the songs was done. I will leave that chore to those who want to micro-manage everything. Simply put, the Trance Party Volume 2, as well as Volume 1, is worth your money. And God knows, I have spent larger sums of money on import CD's (because someone was so emphatic about a CD) and came away with zilch. Your money is well spent on this CD. Enjoy!

As Incredible As Volume One?,
By discodoc (Virginia Beach, VA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Trance Party (Volume Two) (Audio CD)
First, let me begin by saying that this series could just as accurately be called "Euro Party," since the tracks here are merely trance-influenced Eurodance, and not Trance in it's purest form (This is a compliment, in my book). Secondly, let me say that Trance Party Volume One was bar-none THE BEST compilation of 2001, so I was anxious to see if Volume Two could repeat the feat. I was NOT disappointed! Just as many hits, and a few more suprises... DJ Sammy's ubiquitous (but deservingly so) cover of "Heaven," DJ Encore's pulse-pounding "I See Right Through To You," PPK's hauntingly delightful "Resurection" and Ian Van Dahl's "Will I" (much better than "Castle's In The Sky," which was fabulous in it's own right) are four tracks that deserve a spot among the "best-in-class" for 2002. Great Dance Standards like Darude's "Feel The Beat," Lasgo's "Something," Mark Et Claude's "Tremble," Perpetuous Dreamer's "The Sound of Goodbye" and Dee Dee's "Forever" are joined by less known but pleasantly yummy tracks by Hannah ("Blinded," which recently was released as a single and may soon join the "Popular" group of songs), Noemi ("In My Dreams" is a soon-to-be legend in some underground circles) and Lazard (spine tingling action with "4 O'Clock"). Though some are better than others, there is not one bad track to be found on this collection. Definitely high in the running for the Best Compilation of 2002, and certainly another huge reason to look forward to Volume 3!

Uplifting dreamy trance,
By Dane Joers (WA, USA) - See all my reviews

Trance Party Volume Two is an incredible collection of beautiful melodic trance, mostly with female vocal. The types of trance range from energetic and uplifting to soft melancholic. Here is what I think of each track:Heaven - DJ Sammy & Yanou (featuring Do)- - This is an extremely catchy song with great vocals by Do and a distinctive melody with a slight pop touch to it. Something - Lasgo - - Another great song with a smooth flow and energetic build-ups. Great vocals. Resurection - PPK - - Basically an instrumental piece, this song has a spacey dream trance vibe to it and is a must hear! The type of song you want to hear again and again. I See Right Through To You - DJ Encore (featuring Engelina) - - A decent song with nice vocals; a definite euro touch to it. Worth a listen Tremble - Marc Et Claude - - Not one of the best songs on the CD, a somewhat uncaptivating melody but still listenable. Light A Rainbow - Tukan - - This is a great song with a great part with catchy screaming synths. Feel The Beat - Darude - - Ahh, a classic piece by Darude. Great elements in this song including changes in pace, breakbeats, and good melody. The Sound Of Goodbye - Perpetuous Dreamer - - Only a decent song, has good parts to it, but vocals need some help. Blinded - Hannah - - Now here is a good listen. Brilliant vocals and good quality melody and nice piano inserts. In My Dreams - Noemi - - A Decent, quality track. Doesn't stick out at all, just there to listen to. Oh wait though, the chorus is quite unique, you might like it, a piercing melody that seems to be trying to tell you something. Obscura - Out of Grace - - Much more on the unique side. Intriguing sound, no vocal, see if it suits your taste... Damaged - Plummet - - Great upbeat speedy trance song with crackling synths and nice vocal. Is This Love - Terra Skye - - Softer and dreamy, but still very nice, romantic in a way maybe. 4 O'Clock (In The Morning) - Lazard - Well... This is probably my least favorite track on the CD. I mean, it sounds alright, but when the vocal kicked in I struggled to listen to the song, you may agree. Will I? - Ian Van Dahl - - Absolutely excellent trance anthem. Uplifting melody and incredible singing, this is one you can't miss out on. Probably Ian Van Dahl's best work. Forever - Dee Dee - - Ok, some may like Dee Dee, but I don't. To me, she does NOT have a trance music singing voice, maybe country...the song itself is worthy of mention though. This is a great CD with few bad tracks; you will want to listen to it over and over. It keeps you in a good mood and energetic. The purist trance devotees will not care too much for it because of it's mainstream pop-trance influence, but for those that are looking for songs with great melodies and smooth vocals, get this.

This is what trance is all about!,

This is merely one of the greatest trance CDs of all time. Trance Party Vol.2 single handedly seized my interest in the trance/techno genre. The melodies are enrapturing and the transitions connect the tracks without any wasted movement. So if you're trying to coerce a friend or significant other into giving this genre a chance use Trance Party Vol.2 as the test dummy.

loved this cd enough to write my first review on amazon. it's rare to find a compilation that you can listen to from beginning to end. this is one of them. among my favorites: ppk, lazard, and perpetuous dreamer. someone borrowed this cd of mine a while back and i never got it back. i'm having a hard time trying to remember who has it though b/c so many people wanted to borrow it at one point. oh well, i put it up on my wishlist again so keeping my fingers crossed to get it for my birthday. :)

Pretty Good,

This review is from: Trance Party (Volume Two) (Audio CD)
The songs on this cd were some of the best ones of their timeframe, but they are common on alot of different mixes. The tracks alone get this ablum 4 stars, but the mixing leavs alot to be desired so there is no star number 5. If your looking for good to great songs, get this disc. If your looking for a well mixed cd, this might not be for you, however it is at least mixed and not gaps in between songs.

One of the best party CD's ever!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Trance Party (Volume Two) (Audio CD)
I wasn't really into trance until my friend gave me the first Trance Party. I had already heard some of the songs but nevertheless I was still blown away by the melodies and the beats. I later picked up Trance Party vol. 2 and the outcome was the same. By far the best songs on the CD are "Light a Rainbow", "Blinded", "Damaged", "Is This Love" (which has very nice vocals,) and "Forever".These are songs that you'll probably play over and over. The vocals are sort of sureal in a way and the music kept me replaying the songs. The only song I wasn't to crazy about was "Obscura" because it didn't really give me that melodic vibe that I felt through the whole CD. Other than that though, if there are any hardcore trance fanatics like me or if theres anyone who is just getting into trance, this is the CD to buy. You won't be disappointed!

This is my favorite kind of music, and this CD has it all. From PPK's haunting "Resurrection" to Dee Dee's promising "Forever" from Marc et Claude's "Tremble" to DJ Encore and Engelina's "I See Right Through To You" (by far one of my favorite songs of all time), this CD is sure to delight you if you're a hard party going, music loving, clubbin' kind of person.
