This exceptionally thoughtful and provocative true story is especially relevant in light of recent events that seem to foreshadow strong threats to our global society as we know it: climate changes, earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, tsunamis, and now the ever-looming shadow cast by a potential "bird flu" pandemic.
John Jay Harper is a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Army, serving also as a civilian mental health crisis counselor, electronics engineer, and computer specialist in the fields of avionics, missilery, and nuclear submarine technology with the U.S. Department of Defense (1968-1993). He is also the executive director, American Delphi Academy, a non-profit corporation dedicated to wellness promotion in body-mind-spirit.
This book merits serious consideration by the general public, educators, ministers, politicians, radio/TV/film media, and scholars alike.

Strange reviews?,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century (Paperback)
I have bought a load of books on Amazon, and one of the things i look for when im buying a book is it's user comments. In this case i think all of them where rating the book for 5 stars and raved about the book, so i bought it since i was interested in the subject. Now, i have read a few others in the field so i have a few to compare with... The big problem i have with the book is the constant use of: "I know the truth" "what has surfaced as an undeniable truth" And especially when referencing other authors (must be well over a 100 of references): "As the author has proven" or "The truth has been found by this author" For any person who has not learnt to question information given to him, this book may seem like a bible in this subject. Everywhere you look, page after page, "the truth" is presented, in areas which are so far out they are even hard to discuss properly. I read a lot of books with ideas and theories that are just out of this world, and i'm fine with it. Because most of those authors present those ideas and theories as such and not as facts or truths. If you are interested in the subjects of this book there are a lot of gems that might stir your interests however. But keep your "question the information" hat on, or you're in for a ride... And i'm still puzzled how the book could have so many reviews with 5 stars...

Unlocking Your Mind From Your Biology of Belief,
By
This review is from: Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century (Paperback)
Upon preparing to write this review -- yet considering to do otherwise given that nobody reads them -- I was stunned that other reviewers did not see what is so obvious to me, but then again, I am a computer scientist and mathematician. That is, it is a book that unlocks your mind from your biology of belief. I mean the words are carefully selected to shift one's consciousness. This masterpiece is pure unadulterated genius. Literally every chapter, every page, let alone paragraph, follows the latest scientific insight into perception and language structure on how to change a rigid mind-set akin to The Bible Code's use of "skip-pattern sequencing." Specifically, it is a magnum opus on subliminal learning techniques that open one's subconscious mind, then plants a powerful message of transformation that leads the reader to an expanded cosmic and worldview effortlessly. To the point, I've read nearly all the cutting-edge books on consciousness, physics, and metaphysics, and have seen the movies such as "What the Bleep Do We know?!" as well as "The Secret" and all I know from the miracles that are manifesting in my life now from reading, and rereading, this book is that if it has any shortcomings I'd look within myself first for them. Clearly, to lash out at this author for using too many references, too many website links, too many words is like sinking survivors of the Titanic complaining to the Captain that the lifeboats were blocking the view of the icebergs! Indeed this text seeks to saturate the reader with life-saving INFORMATION. If it invokes hidden agendas, feelings, thoughts in the reader in that process so much the better as that can then be used to your advantage via self-reflection. Something like a Rorschach Inkblot Test this astute scholar was able to create a dynamic pattern of words that flies beneath our conscious radar screens as we scan the text for truth. Nonetheless, I am not rich or famous yet, but I would not rule that out since I incorporated these insights into my own lifestyle today. In particular, I see the need to be a positive person, to be the peace I want to see in the world. Thus, I'd suggest you read this book at least twice before you judge its value; as sometimes you do have to sift the words more than once to filter out the fools gold that our sound-bite society hands out like candy kisses. But, by all measures I use to establish value, this book is a treasure chest of wisdom!
