This movie is 100% pure [action.] I used to work in a video store, i know what i'm talking about here. people who rag on the special effects, or the makeup, and all that jazz. what's the point, this was made in 1993, it barely cost anything to make, and it had me laughing the entire time. I mean seriously guys, just the lines Tom Thomerson spouts off are worth the ...this movie costs. i haven't seen trancers 1, 2, 3, or 5, but after seeing this on i want to buy the entire set. and hopefully they're as good. if sequels slowly decline, then 1, 2, and 3 must be awesome!

Future cop Jack Deth (Tim Thomerson) is back with a gun in his hand, a chip on his shoulder and a sneer on his lips. But this time Jack travels "down the line" for a supernatural showdown with his most cunning enemy yet!
The mystical land of Orpheus has fallen victim to a breed of bloodsucking Trancers who are busily draining the populace dry. And it's here, in the mist-shrouded land of medieval villages and castles, that Jack arrives to do battle! But before he can effectively singe the Trancers, he'll have to win the heart of a beautiful slave girl, take command of an underground rebel army, and defy a wizard's prophecy of his own death. Hey, it's all in a day's work for a world-weary Trancer hunter...

Jack Deth returns meaner and better than ever.Although it can't beat the first three movies and espically PART III but this is okay too.

Jack Deth is a future cop and kicks Trancers butts.Trancers are zombie-like creatures who want world destruction.
But Jack suddenly ends up in an alternate dimension ruled by vampire-like Trancers.

THE BACKGROUND IN THIS MOVIE LOOKS FAMILAR.THAT'S BECAUSE THE VLADILAS CASTLE from the Subspecies series is in the background.So I guess Jack is in Transylvania?

I admit I've seen this movie more than the average person, but this is no average movie. The bar scene alone rivals such films as: Top Gun, Roadhouse, and The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. Admittedly, not many people have seen any of the Trancers movies, but those who have can appreciate its utter brilliance. Great lines from Tim Thomerson like, "Lady I am tough," and "Your probably just another dizzy b**** from Melrose... Shopping all day," make this flick classic. If you show me someone who doesn't think Jack Deth is the sweetest character alive, I'll show you a fruitcake who's probably better off watching re-runs of The Nanny. Can be seen as a stand-alone or combined with Trancers 5. It has romance, action, continuity, and humour.

The 4th of the TRANCERS series is okay, a pretty good story line, special effects, action, and a little bit of humor makes this movie good.
