Maritime lawyer, Brooks, is working on a case which should end up with a simple, albeit large, settlement. However, when the case is just about lost, he begins to uncovers lies, which lead to major coverups, and he is compelled to dig deeper and deeper, in spite of overwhelming threats to him, his loved ones, and anyone daring to help or befriend him.

From New Orleans, to Sweden, to Moscow this story is riveting and a real page-turner. Character development is quick, to-the-point, and with just the right amount of detail. The story line, twists, turns, and takes you on a roller coaster ride ending with some surprising revelations.

A.C. Frieden has done a magnificent job putting together an exceptional story which is very complex, yet easy to read. This is an outstanding novel that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good adventure filled with suspense.

Great book. It grabs you from page one and you don't want to put it down. Even if you are not into political intrigue, you will still thoroughly enjoy this book. I see this excellent book as a made for TV thriller or possibly on the big screen. A.C. Frieden is an excellent writer. Hopefully there will be more books from him in the near future.

If you love a good mystery, thriller, and spy plot, then this is the novel for you. "Tranquility Denied" is a quick read, providing heart pounding chapters of excitement, wonder, and curious deduction as you attempt to figure out what main character Jonathan Brooks will uncover next. This was my first opportunity reading something from author A.C. Frieden, and definitely not the last!

I enjoyed the story greatly. Quick read and a real page turner. Not going to be a great novel in the scheme of all literature, but a fun read, fast paced, and something about Jonathan Brook's discoveries that keep you reading each chapter after each chapter.

If you are looking for a fast-paced thriller, learn something new about the cold war and appreciate a very realistic settings (all places, buildings, etc. do exist in reality), then this is a book for you!

The novel is easy to read, the story flows page after page and you are dragged into an amazing adventure and you just do not want to turn your night-stand lamp off ;-)
