This is a landmark achievement for sure. The playing and writing is brilliant. Every single player who contributed to this release sounds at the top of their game through blistering tracks written by a genius musician. However, if you are purchasing this release based on the "top billing" of Scott Henderson, he only plays on the last third of one track, which was disappointing on a huge scale for me. I love to support new artists and would love this release no matter what, but was REALLY looking forward to hearing tons of Henderson on it, based on how he was billed. Instead, its literally a Henderson-home-studio-punched-in solo on the last third of the song "Challenge Day". If you love "old-school-mind-blowing-tear-your-face off" fusion, this is perfect. Just don't look for Henderson on more than the one track. FYI. It would have been 5 stars if Hendy had been properly billed at the bottom of the list.

This high-energy disc features many moods. It's well played hyperdrive fusion with some cool ethno stuff thrown in.
What makes this album so approachable for me is the virtuosity of the performers and the unconventional structure of the songs.

Every song is perfectly written and performed by every member, making this album a total success beginning to end. All of the musicians play with an intensity that I have heard nowhere else.
Spike just shreds on every solo, using a veritable arsenal of keyboards and effects. He is a man of many colors, but they are always his very own. Chambers of course is a true virtuoso and his superb technique never ceases to amaze. Henderson is a killer guitarist, Brunel and Feraud are monster bass players. Bob Franceschini's solo has more feeling than anything I've ever heard before.
I would recommend that anyone fan of exceptionally fusion at all at least give this album a look.

Didn't know Spike from Adam but did know the artists he has on this album. Definitely a great album. There is some African chanting I could do without (Plunky Branch does a better job of that) but still a great album with great songs.

there are some great players on this disc but even they can't save the mediocre tunes. Every track sounds like something someone else has done before. I bought it expecting something exciting but two listens was enough--some might call it fusion but I call it boring----destined to be traded in for something else or as a dust collector--save your money
