Great Price and Performance,

I use this compact flash card with the Canon 20D. I picked this particular brand because of its price. It's frustrating to pay top dollar for new technology only to have something faster and large storage capacity come out at a cheaper price is a relatively short time.
The Transcend 4GB card didn't disappoint. I tried it just a few days after receiving it at a track and field event at the local high school. The amount of photos this card will hold will depend upon your camera settings and on the ISO level you set your camera to. (The lower the ISO or light sensitivity setting the smaller the file size.) The card performed well and one must remember that card speed is only half of the equation. Your camera's internal buffer also plays a role. I had been using an 80x speed card and this particular card I'm reviewing is a 133x speed. I didn't notice that much of a difference in terms of writing time to my card while using the shutter and I think I was faced with a buffer issue. I was taking continous shots of hurdle jumpers and long jumpers and taking as many photos per second as the camera could handle. It was nice having a large card to handle all the photos and not have to worrying about swapping cards. I think this card is a terrific deal and I think I will get another!

The only reason that I didn't give this card 5 stars is because its not a 266X, which is not the cards fault, it just means it is not the fastest card out there. But for the price, I'm in LOVE with 133X!! Such a great deal. Oh, the card works fine, too. It works just like a memory card should. It stores stuff. Stuff that stays there until you erase said stuff.

This is a good card considering the price. After about 1000 shots over a few weeks, I did encounter an error on my 40D while shooting that required me to reformat the card and lose about 20 shots. Thankfully I was able to redo the shots, but this incident doesn't give me much confidence in this card.
As others have said it does not seem that this card is actually 133x speed.

I use this card in my Canon 40D DSLR and think it's great. I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this card due to its low price, but it has proven itself plenty fast enough for my camera and most likely for any camera that's not UDMA-compatible (and even then, I can't imagine needing more speed). I shoot in RAW+JPEG mode, so my average photo file size is around 15MB, and this card doesn't slow me down even when shooting action at 6.5 frames per second. That's more stress than most cameras will ever demand from their card.

I don't usually review things, but I've had this card for over a year with no problems...
1_ I've dropped it numerous times and left it out in every imaginable weather scenario 2_ I've just recently washed and dried it with my clothes in high heat and hot water 3_ I've been photographing magnets, and have left an earth magnet sitting on it for a day 4_ It's been through at least 5 cameras, and is still going strong - currently recording HD video in my Canon 5d Mark II I am thoroughly pleased, and highly recommend it.

I've been using the Transcend 2GB version of this card for a year now with no issues on my Nikon D200. I recently moved to this card and its as reliable as the previous one. No issues yet. Its not the fastest card around but for the price, its not too bad. Recommended!

I finally decided to move up from my old 1-gb Compact Flash card, and when I found this Transcend brand 4-gb, there was no reason to wait. Experience with Transcend products before has been excellent. Sure enough on getting this one, my only regret was that I didn't buy it earlier. It's fast and gives me more room than expected for photos. May not have to tote my memory tanks along any more, at least on regular trips.

Does it job, as long as it stays cool,
This review is from: Transcend 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card TS4GCF133 (Personal Computers)
I purchased 4 of these.
Went out to shoot a movie being made, got some great shots on my 40D, 6.5 FPS, great for those action sequences, only problem I ran into was that it was nearly 90 degrees out, that coupled with the high FPS caused the card to lockup on me and refuse to read or write anymore. After getting home I knew I wold be able to recover them so not a huge deal. Got home, tried the card, all it had was BMP's? I shoot RAW only, ok, try the other card, no problem, time to fix this card, tried it again real fast and everything was fine, pulled off all of the pics and formatted the card. Havent had a problem since. At 10MP RAW I get around 15 frames at full FPS before it has to wait to wright.

I was looking for some kind of flash memory to use as a SSD boot drive, and this did the trick. Combined with the "Syba SD-CF-IDE-DI IDE to CF Adaptor", it gave me a 4GB IDE drive that plugs straight into the motherboard where my IDE drive cable used to go. 4GB may not sound like much, but it is plenty to hold a small Linux image like FreeNAS.

Behind the Nav unit is a place for a pcmcia card. I loaded this up with 900+ songs and I never have to mess with another cd again. Thanks.
