5.0 out of 5 stars Hard drive speeds
I purchased the Transcend 8gb compactflash card a few days ago and have used it in a Canon 20d without any problem, in fact, the card came preformated. I can shoot all day without having to change cards. I have also used it with Delkin eFilm 32bit adapter on my laptop. I copied an entire DVD to the card and was able to play the movie from the card without any jumps,...

1.0 out of 5 stars corrupt files
With my D200, I got about 10% corrupt files when the card was new. Now, after a few months, the card is unreadable at all. Repeated emails to Transcend have gone unanswered.

I purchased the Transcend 8gb compactflash card a few days ago and have used it in a Canon 20d without any problem, in fact, the card came preformated. I can shoot all day without having to change cards. I have also used it with Delkin eFilm 32bit adapter on my laptop. I copied an entire DVD to the card and was able to play the movie from the card without any jumps, jitters or lags. Even the laptop's hard drive has occasional lags. The read/write times on this card are great and it is much more durable than a microdrive with a spinning disk in it. I'm very happy with the purchase!

I have and Ipaq 5550 and a Nikon 200, this card is just perfect. Doesn't need any previous format just insert and enjoy.

I have seen bad comments on the SD 4Gb, I don't care, I will buy another excellent product from TRANSCEND ! =0]

5.0 out of 5 stars Works wonderful, February 3, 2007

I bought this for my Nikon D200 so I could shoot RAW+JPEG. It has given me absolutely no problems. At 120x, this is a far, far better deal than the 60x Sandisk Ultra II, forget the 150x Sandisk Extreme III. Despite being a hard-core Sandisk fan, I am going to buy at least another one or two of these 8GB Transcend cards. Three cards = 24GB at 120x = about $300. Who can beat that? The only thing they don't have is the industrial temperature rating, but who cares??

To those looking for the first time: Keep an eye out. You can get these on Amazon for $120 or less if you are patient and check back periodically (I'm writing this in Feb 2007)... I think I found them for $112 and later for $96. Otherwise they were about $140.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never had a single corruption issue, February 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Transcend 8Gb Cf Card 120X (Personal Computers)
I shoot weddings, so I was thrilled to see an 8gb card available at such an awesome price. I am always nervous and apprehensive about corruption, so it was a habit of mine to back up every hour or every time I got a break. I have had this card for years now and have never ever had any issue. It's been used and abused thoroughly. I actually trust this card now, but I always reformat and wipe the card clean in my camera, never on the computer (some old cards of mine would flip out when I deleted pictures from the computer, so, although it's unnecessary, I do it out of habit and fear)

Worth the price. It's stable and fast. I don't need to wait the card while capturing the good gestures of my baby!

This item is a bit slow as noted on my Nikon D200's, but for price/GB value and buffer size in most pro bodies, you can't go wrong. I've used three of this units for the past year - never a problem!

Get a Sandisk if you shoot quick action sports and the like.
