4.0 out of 5 stars Transcend 32 GB SDHC Review
Before you drop 120~$ for a SD card ask yourself, Do you really need 32GB card? because the card itself with same specs costs only 35$ for the 16GB version, anyway here is info that might help you

Pros :
1- Class 6 Card the(guaranteed minimum Read/write speed of 6MB/s)
2- My Test Results 18.2-18.5MB/S Read - 11.6-11.8 Write (very stable)

4.0 out of 5 stars Transcend 32 GB SDHC Review, May 25, 2009
This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)

3- Faster than average cards and almost close to top speed SDHC cards
4- 32GB in a single small chip is awesome(You can use it as a portable HD once in a while, i share some stuff with my friends with it sometimes

Cons :
1- Expensive
2- You can get two 16GB cards for around only 70$ and save yourself 50$~
3- Slow write speeds for a 32GB card (Takes forever to fill it with DATA from PC, its not the card fault though , its just the SDHC technology is getting old and slow for 2009 standards , time for newer Tech)

* Important Info

Avoid the Sandisk Ultra Series they never reach the true marketed speed "15MB-20MB/S" its just in theory speed like how everybody knows that USB2 is much slower than its specs, and they are only Class 2 for the 32GB version which will drop frames from your HD video (Plus Class 4 is minimum requirement for shooting in HD ) if you plan to get San disk Card then get the Extreme III Series (but again from my own Tests there read speed is about 20MB not 30MB and the write speed is 14MB/s~ instead of the transcend 11MB/s write speed (Unless you spam shooting pictures with your DSLR you don't "need" faster speed)

I bought This card because i plan to take videos with my HD camcorder that last more 2 Hours, if you do not plan to shoot for longtime then you are better with getting the 16GB card HOWEVER, if you are lazy like my mom and do not plan to transfer DATA from the card to Your computer HD after every trip, then get the 32GB card.or you gonna end up on a trip and a message pops "No memory"

If you plan to shoot for longer time, check your camcorder battery too does it even last that long? so be sure about that before you drop over 100$ for this card

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best SDHC card on the market, July 16, 2009
This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
I have done my research and this is the fastest, most reliable, best built, most reasonably priced card on the market.
I rigorously tested this card and it performs at sustained speeds of 8MB/s write and 28MB/s read. It has handled the abuse of being re-inserted into the dslr every day and it has never lost a photo or hiccuped in any way. The speed is even more than than enough for videos even at 24 megabits per second.

1.0 out of 5 stars Works great till it doesn't., November 27, 2010

I really wish I had read the reviews more carefully. Tempted by the lowest price on the 32GB Class VI card, I jumped on the deal, for my AVCHD camcorder. It worked fine for a couple of months, till today, when I tried to copy back the footage I captured this Thanksgiving. Suddenly, the card is not recognized by any of my systems (mac, pc, even the camera). Everything is lost - all the precious two hour footage of the grandparents singing, my cute nephews and nieces, the jovial times around the fireplace, the great Turkey feast. All, just gone. If one can't tell, I am distraught.

To any potential buyers, please, you may think that you'll be great about backing up your footage/pictures, you may think that these 350 (and counting) odd people who gave this product a 1 star - are just exceptions, you may think this won't happen to you. But it will, and when it does, it will take your precious memories with it.

Please, for the sake of preserving your digital treasures, don't trust this ignoble company and their reprehensible product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Class 6 = Awesome, June 25, 2009
This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
This is an awesome piece of technology. Regardless of transfer speeds (which are pretty reliably fast with this card) the fact that you can get 32gb of memory in a piece of plastic that small and still be relatively affordable is simply awesome. These cards are ideal for camcorders (don't get the slower class-2 or class-4 cards. You risk losing data when writing to the card), or virtually any other application. I use them in my Cowon O2 and Dell Mini for holding all my media files. I get read speeds of about 18mb/second and write speeds of about 11mb/second, which is quite respectable in my opinion. That's about as fast as SDHC technology is going to take you; if you want faster wait until Solid State hard drives are standard inside camcorders and audio players.

Relatively cheap, from a good brand, and class-6: what more do you want?

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy Transcend SDHC cards, May 1, 2011

This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
Owned Transcend class 6 32GB and 16GB SDHC cards. I used them for my Nikon D90 camera and Canon Vixia HFS100 digital v-cam. Both cards gave me problems. Files were corrupted in both cards. After formatted them, they seem to work again but then same thing happened again after using it for a while. I used CardRecovery software to scan both cards after I formatted (I used the PC and also the camera's card initialization function) the cards. The program found many many files that were supposed to be erased. I formatted the cards again and then re-scanned them and the program found the files again on those 2 cards. I threw the cards away. I thought the problem could be my cameras. I used the program to scan the Kingston 32GB class 6 SDHC cards that I formatted by the same PC and no problem with the Kingston class 6 SDHC cards.

Both Transcend cards gave me same problem?? Coincidence?? I don't think so. DO NOT BUY TRANSCEND SDHC CARDS UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK TO LOSE THE DATA. I was lucky to be able to recover the videos on those SDHC cards by using CardRecovery software but they were all chopped up to seconds and I had to use another software to join those chopped up videos together. If you own Transcend SDHC cards, I recommend you to scan your cards like I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent card for the money, September 11, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
The writer who gives this product one star is being totally inappropriate. She comments that it is a more cost-effective and a better buy (for her limited purposes with stills) to get a 2GB card.

Those of us who work in AVCHD / HD video need the 32 GB capacity, and for her to trash the Transcend card just because an older 2GB card is more cost-effective for use with stills is irresponsible.

This is a great card. I use it for recording MXP (24Mbps) AVCHD in a Canon HF S10, which is a pretty intensive application, and so far I have not seen any errors at all. I shopped it pretty hard, and found this to be the best buy for the money. Transcend is excellent quality, and the reason I ended up coming back to this page is because I am ordering another one right now. If that says anything.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great flash card, January 8, 2011

This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
For the money this flash card is outstanding. it is very fast and holds a huge amount of pictures.I have a Canon 60 D took over 300 pictures and it said i stil had 999 pictures to go. THe camera will only go upto 999 pictures on the counter. My wife has the Canon T1I i think it states on her camerea 1850 pictures. This card also will hold a lot of video time if you are going to use it for that purpose also.

3.0 out of 5 stars Word to the Wise, This Brand is the Most Bootlegged Period, October 20, 2010

I've gotten these off of ebay and because of the price difference. Don't think it's a deal, it's a bootleg. I noticed when the gold portion on the card didn't look real, it looked like gold foil and it flaked off. Another indication you have a bootleg Transcend the data corrupts beyond 25-50 mb files but is fine with smaller file sizes like under 10 mb. The last indicator the label sticker looks cheap and the Adobe Illustrator colors don't look like they used the gradient tool correctly. In the blue color on the color spectrum you'll see it get hard and a straight line of color. Where it's supposed to blend like a rainbow. I didn't know I was getting a bootleg til it was too late. The seller was in the United States and got it from the Asian black market. The price was significantly low (about 50 dollars). Just a word from the wise, don't forget about bootleg items like this, DS, PSP games, toys not sealed in there package with bad paint jobs, cheap power wires w no regulation #'s on them that passed fire standards, etc. I forgot about that market until I got a bogus Transcend. SanDisk is another company that is pirated or bootlegged heavily these days. Hope this helps for people who are on the look out of cheap non working copied product.

Edit: just a comment and warning to cards that are 32gb and are around the 35 price range.

originally, i was ecstatic with this purchase and literally couldn't be happier. unfortunately, the memory card became unusable after i left the original review. i received this card about 2.5 months ago and it worked great up until last week. every time i went to use it in my camera, it would say "memory card error". not only would it not work, it would also corrupt any photos or videos i had taken with that card (losing critical shots). i've tried to reformat it several times both on the camera and on my computer. it will work for a couple hours and then the same error occurs. i just can't trust it anymore after having lost so much photo/video data. i'm disappointed that it worked so great at first, and now i'm left with the feeling that i essentially wasted $100 with no recourse.

original review:

i purchased this memory card for my brand new digital camera (canon powershot SX1 IS). since it takes HD video and has raw capability for digital cameras, i needed the largest memory card i could find that was still SDHC class 6. i couldn't have been happier when i stumbled across this affordable memory card with so much space. i've only had it for a couple weeks, but i've had no problems yet (and have been using it extensively). the only minor issue (and i have a feeling it's my laptop and not the memory card), is sometimes when i upload the images to my laptop...it says there are "errors" with a few photos and i have to manually copy those over (instead of it transferring through the photo wizard). again, i think that might be a computer issue...and even so, not a problem since i can just open the memory card folder and drag them over.

this card comes highly recommended!

1.0 out of 5 stars Hope you have better luck than I did, July 17, 2010

This review is from: Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6 (Personal Computers)
Card I received is defective. It took a while to realize it was the card that was defective rather than the Kodak Zi8 I purchased it for. Went to Transcend's website, downloaded their AutoFormat tool, and confirmed that the card is defective. I recieve a "fail" message "format error." Tried formatting the card on my computer and on the Zi8 - no luck.

Of course, Amazon's return window expired 2 days ago, so they won't take it back.

This should be covered by Transcend's warrantly, but I'm unable to get through to Transcend. I've repeatedly tried to contact Transcend via its customer service website (promising 24/7 support), but when I try to send the customer service form I filled out on their webiste, the site just times out and the form will not go through [...]). Of course, Transcend does not provide an email address or telephone number so you can actually actually speak with a human being. To add insult to injury, Transcend's RMA form won't download, either [...] ("a connection with the server could not be established").
