At first it worked well, but only with a Transcend SD card. It would not read any other brand SD card. After about three months it started corrupting my SD cards. I ruined three Transcend SD cards before I trashed it.

My review! Don't do it.

The shipment contains two units. One SD card 16GB (class 6) and a USB reader.
16GB is big enough to take thousands of pictures with a 16MB camera or store as many mp3.
The card reader is fairly small and comes from a reputable company.
It is very useful to transfer pictures which otherwise would have required to connect the camera to the pc and is genrally fairly slow.
With the reader, you simply remove the card from the camera, insert it inside the reader (no way to insert it wrong since it is guided) and then plug the reader to a free USB port and voila, an extra storage or transfer drive.
Since I started using a combo like this, I have simply never used the cable provided with the camera. As well, I use it to transfer files from one PC to the next and it is small enough to fit in any pocket.
If carefully handled, one should be able to use it for a long time and be perfectly satisfied. On the other hand, if like me you tend to put the thing in a pocket or with other stuff in a bag, the card may come free or worst may damage the reader if left inside. In clear, it lacks to offer a protection for the card.
This is why I did remove one star to an otherwise very good and practical combo.
