The Actual product being offered and shipped by Amazon is the same model number, but the manufacturer (Transcend Taiwan) specifications are actually different. This is probably why there are a few reviews with people saying the speed is not as fast as expected/advertised. I have attached some photos of the actual product received on (2) separate occasions that confirm the true spec is up to 45MB/s sequential read (20MB/s sequential write). If you compare the photos I supply and the ones on the Amazon web site, you will see the Amazon photo does not show the printed speed rating to the right side of the device packaging. Regardless, the speed is fast enough to handle any phone and/or tablet read task which often peak at 15MB/s or less.

I have also attached a quantified benchmark using CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64 within Windows 7 on a high-end Dell Precision M6600 workstation. The results are within the specification guidelines so I have concluded the Transcend 32GB MicroSDHC is snappy and as advertised on the *packaging* even if it is not on the Amazon web site. Therefore, the product receives 5 stars from me and Amazon should correct their error. Lastly, as with all memory, 32GBits = 29GBytes once you do the real world conversion so do not concern your with any discrepancies there.

Dear S Booth,

Thanks for review our product, and for taking the time of post your reviews in Amazon.

As I know the results posted in Amazon were the result of a test using our RDP8 and RDP5 compatible USB 3.0 card reader using Crystal Mark software.

I tested this device to make sure the entire memory existed (not a fake card) and to check the speeds. With my laptop's built in SD card reader I got the following results:

Writing speed: 14.1 MByte/s
Reading speed: 50.8 MByte/s

Class 10 mandates that the minimum read/write speed must be 10MB/s, this card exceeds that specification.

Purchased to use in GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. Originally ordered comparable SanDisk model, but after reading reviews on a few other sites, I learned that the SanDisk just can't keep up with the Hero 3 BE (causes strange lockup, if the card isn't fast enough). Cancelled my order, and purchased this instead. So far haven't had a single lockup due to write-speed slowness on the BE and even downloading to my computer via the adapter seems pretty fast.

From what I've read, the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition is the only model GoPro that demands the speed that this card offers. If you're using another model, or just looking for something to put in your P&S camera, or cell phone, another model / manufacturer may work just fine. If you need true Class 10 UHS-1 speeds, this is the card you want.

The other SD card I was using for my GoPro Hero3 wasn't fast enough despite saying it was a class10 card. I was getting random reboots, random shutdowns, I couldn't press the buttons to get it to change functions without pulling the battery, I thought it might have been the GoPro.

I picked up this card as a suggestion from a coworker who uses it in their Hero3 and having since switched over to this, have experienced no more issues with my GoPro Hero3. Definitely recommend.

Update 3/3/14
I received an RMA from Transcend to return the defective card. After nearly three weeks, I received a letter and my defective card back from Transcend. They said, "Our technicians have carefully inspected & tested your product and their report shows that this part does not qualify for RMA replacement due to . . . physical damage to the product."

Convenient assessment Transcend: The card went directly from its original packaging to my tablet, then from my tablet to its original packaging and shipped to Transcend.

Thank you Transcend for making it easy to never buy one of your products again!

Original 2/3/14:
I used the Transcend 64GB MicroSDXC card in my Windows 8.1 Dell Venue Pro tablet. I noticed after a few weeks that the tablet was starting to get very hot on the right-hand side in the back. A week after that the memory card was not recognized. I rebooted the tablet numerous times, tried the card in other devices, put it in the supplied SD Card adapter and plugged it into my computer, nothing. The card is completely dead and not recognized in any device.

I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated and disappointed I am in this product by Transcend.

I'd purchased a so-called Samsung 32GB memory card for my wife's phone of that auction site we all know about. Not only did it not work right, but I believe it was a fake. Needless to say, I was very frustrated, especially since I had to pay to return that faulty card to the seller. I came on Amazon, and began shopping for a good quality card. Reading reviews, I noticed that some cards seemed a bit shady. This Transcend card had good reviews, and seemed legit, so I ordered it. It arrived yesterday, and I immediately started filling it up with movies and music for my wife's phone. Right away, I noticed that its speed was faster than memory cards I've had in the past. I got a couple 2-hour videos on the card, and a large selection of music, and there is still 9.3 GB of free space. I put the card into my wife's phone, and it instantly recognized it with no problems. My wife is a happy camper!

A friend of mine ordered a Sandisk of the same size and speed, after we did some read/write testing man was he pissed. My Transcend card was almost twice as fast when writing to it and just a little bit faster reading. Filled it up with movies for our tablet, no problems yet.

Was quick while it worked. It died and can no longer be formatted. I lost ~45gb of data. Not what I'm looking for $40.

I originally had SanDisk Micro SD for my smart phone. It kept dismounting itself. I did some research and there were others experiencing the same thing, so I return that and got this one. This one works fine. No problem at all. I definitely recommend this card over SanDisk.

So I purchased the 64gb card earlier this month for use on the Galaxy S3. Using it for a whole week was great! Speed was great and I was reveling in the fact that I still had soo much storage still available on the card! One whole week = one whole star because unfortunately after that I could no longer view the pictures or videos. Phone started to let me know that the files were not pictures or videos. plugging it into the PC only let me see one or two pics and then that stopped too. Called it a loss and formatted the card. After that the phone still could not use it. The disappointment was not just that the card I expected to work did not but more so to let friends and family know that I did not have pictures anymore of an event I captured on the phone. Never been in that position before and I guess I was caught without a contingency plan here. Sorry Transcend - this really was a bad experience. I hope you are really looking at what is going on with the card. I am now off to figure out who I need to call to return this.

Dear Hemant,

We apologize for the difficulties and inconvenience you experienced with the TS64GUSDU1E card.

Since the card you are using is SDXC, this card needs a compatible host to be able to read/write to the card.

For better service, can you please let us know your cell brand/model? and your computer's card reader?
