Product Description

Capacity: 128 GB

Looking to harness the full power of your UHS-I camera? Capture without limitation by using Transcend’s SDXC UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) cards. These ultra-high speed memory cards are ideal for photo and film enthusiasts who want to elevate the performance of their current equipment.

Full HD, 3D, & 4K2K Video Recording Capabilities

To guarantee every moment is captured in brilliant color and stunning detail, Transcend’s UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) cards can achieve up to 85MB/s write speeds. This makes them perfect for fast-action consecutive shooting and recording smooth, high-quality Full HD, 3D, and 4K2K videos.

Next-Generation UHS-I U3 Transfer Speeds

When paired with a high-end card reader, such as Transcend's RDF8 USB 3.0 multi-card reader and or the handy RDF5 USB 3.0 card reader with built-in USB port, the Transcend’s SDXC UHS-I U3 cards can reach incredible read speeds of up to 95MB/s to offer quick and seamless file transfers between card and computer.

Storage to Meet Your Needs

With their substantial amount of storage space, Transcend SDXC UHS-I U3 cards provide plenty of space for professional-quality photos and videos. Each 128GB card for instance, can store a full 32 hours of 1080p High-Definition digital footage or 8000+ RAW images at up to 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and beyond, eliminating the need to switch cards during shooting sessions.

Excellent Device Compatibility

Transcend UHS-I U3 memory cards support the Ultra High Speed Class 3 specification, which means they are capable of recording video at a minimum constant write speed of least 30MB/s. Yet, even in devices that do not support UHS-I, these cards still offer SD Class 10 performance, with constant write speeds of at least 10MB/s. Note: speed may vary depending on the device and usage of hardware or software. SDXC UHS-I U3 cards are backwards compatible with SDXC Class 10 devices. Please see Transcend website for additional warranty details and limitations.

RecoveRx Software

With a purchase of Transcend SDXC UHS-I U3 cards, you can download our exclusive RecoveRx software for free. This user-friendly application allows you to conduct an in-depth search within your storage device for traces of erased files to be recovered.

On my Apple computer using USB 3 this card averaged 60MB/s write and 80MB/s read speed. I compared this to my SanDisk 30MB/s card which I averaged 20MB/s write and 23MB/s read.

Before I got this card I was using the SanDisk card to record 100 mb/s video and it worked fine because you only need 12 MB/s to record that. If you want to recored the 200 mb/s you need 25MB/s.

None of that really matters because this card is crazy fast and very affordably priced.

For anyone not very familiar with how to treat these cards here is my recommended protocol.

1) When you put the card in your camera, format it in the camera. Never format it on your computer.
2) When you are finished with your shoot, take the card and copy your images to your computer. If your computer asks to delete the images on your card say no.
3) When you put the card back in your camera, format it.
4) Never, delete images in the camera. The only time you should delete images on your card is when you are reformatting it.
5) Don't use your camera card as a memory stick. Use a USB drive for that purpose.
6) Always, keep these protected in a case or your camera. Don't let them float around in your pocket with keys and loose change.

Following this protocol I have not had any issues with any card for at least 6 years.

I bought this card in anticipation for the GH4 which I received just 2 days ago. I was able to get quite a bit of 4K footage, 96 fps slowmo, and 200 Mbps All-I footage and it never missed a beat. Card is read without any trouble on a windows machine. Transcend has finally put out something that gives a solid fight to the Sandisk 95Mb/s extreme pro which has been the standard for digital cameras for so long. I'll be buying more of these in the future.

I purchased this to install in my 4K video capable Panasonic DMC-FZ1000. All is well and good with this card.

As with the GH4 (as noted in some of the reviews I've read here), the FZ1000 will not shoot 4K while in P, A, S, or iA modes and pressing the red Video button -- the camera must be switched to Video mode to select 4K. I don't know the reason, but this is what Panasonic decided, it's not a limitation of the SD card.

I haven't clocked any formal read/write tests, but in actual usage, I've observed that the FZ1000 will write a 60-shot photo burst to this card in about 3 to 4 seconds, while the same write to a standard Class 10 card takes on the order of 25 seconds. This is definitely a noteworthy improvement in day to day usability.

This is my 3rd Transcend SD card, and so far I've run into no issues with reliability or performance.

I mostly use my GH4 for 4K video, which is 100mbps. This card has worked flawlessly for that. However, when not in video mode, 4K is not an option. So if while shooting stills, I hit the red video record button, the best quality I can get is 1080P 200mbps. If I'm using this card, I will get an error that the card write speed is insufficient. It may record for a few seconds, a few minutes, or many minutes before the error occurs. From now on, if using this card, I will set the video recording quality to 1080P 100mbps when not in video mode to avoid this, but apparently this card isn't meeting the minimum write speed of 30MBps, or it could handle 200mbps (25MBps).

I see the 64GB version worked okay for another reviewer, so I don't know if it is a difference between the 64GB and 128GB version of the card or if I just got a slow card. My Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB handles 1080P 200mbps without issue in my GH4, so I don't believe it's an issue with the camera.

The advertised speeds are 95 mb/s read and 60mb/s write. However, I constantly got errors in both my Panasonic GH2 hacked and Panasonic GH4 stating the write speed was insufficient. So I returned the product.

I'm using a 32gb Sandisk Extreme Pro 95 mb/s and it works perfect in both cameras. So does a Sony 95 mb/s 32 GB SD card.

I don't know if I got a defective card, but it couldn't record more than a few seconds before I got the error message.

While still waiting for the Panasonic GH4 I tested this 128GB card on my Windows 8.1 64 bit system, measured stable 59 to 61MB/s write and 85 to 87MB/s read while copying a 5GB video file. I am more than satisfied with this and the price-tag is great. This is my third Transcend, bought the first one in 2010 and works just fine, I expect the same with this one. Highly recommended.

Agree with the other reviews here. Bought this for video recording in the Panasonic GH4 and love it. Fast, huge capacity, good price. I also have been using two Transcend cards in my Panasonic AF100 for the past few years and have found them to be 100% reliable, including for extremely long, uninterrupted documentary shooting. Hoping that this new card holds up the same.

Had a salesman at a camera store tell me that this card was not certified for use in a Panasonic GH4, and so I shouldn't buy it. Fortunately, it was already on its way so I couldn't really heed his advice. Fact is, it works perfectly. I shot a continuous 45 minutes of interview at 4K without a single dropped frame. Good card for a great price!
