I tried a few different CF cards in my Boss BR-600 recorder and none of them worked until I got this one. I saw several forum posts by individuals who said this particular card is not compatible with the device, but I have found that it is and works great! This is also a much better deal than other CF cards that have reportedly worked with the BR-600 (such and SanDisk cards which seem to be significantly more expensive.) Some posts I have read report that this card is not compatible due to the 80x speed, but the CF card that comes with the device is 80x. This particular CF card meets all specifications (Type I, no faster than 80x, 1 Gb maximum, and not a professional or other enhanced version). Hopefully this review helps clear things up concerning BR-600 compatibility.

I have a discontinued GNX4 work station which only supports Type I CompactFlash cards for storing memory. With this work station, I can record guitar tracks and loop them and play over them. However, one day my memory card no longer functioned and I was unable to record for the longest time. When I finally realized I could search for it on Amazon, I found this product and this one works perfectly and I can record myself playing now.

I don't have any cameras which only use Type I or anything, so sorry if you were looking for a review about taking pictures and stuff, but if you're looking for a card supported by the GNX4, this one is it!

After reading the reviews here I purchased 4 of these cards for use in my Boss BR-600 digital recorder. When I inserted the first card I got an "Unsupported Card" error from the recorder. Turns out the recorder needed a simple firmware update. Available from Roland:

Once the firmware update was complete ( version 1.11 ) the card worked perfectly.

I am thoroughly satisfied not only with the product itself, but with the delivery of the items as well. All cards were sent in original packaging and well protected in the shipping box. They were delivered on time as promised. As far as the product, it worked perfectly for the music recorder, BR-600, that I'm using. I've put the cards through the test of recording, edit, bounce, download, and upload - worked perfectly. So well, that I purchased more right after the test. I recommend this flash card and hope someone continues to manufacture them, as there is still a niche of uses for them.

"Industrial" , used to be called "pro" , & is Not compatible with the Boss Br 600 ! & So I need to exchange it for a regular old , " 80 X " , Please .

I can't say anything negative about the card. It was what I ordered, it worked well, and a great price. Can't ask for more than that.

All I know is that my digital recording unit uses only type I compact flash cards, and Amazon has been the only place I found one. Thank you Amazon. The 1GB from Transcend, so far, is perfect for my recording needs to save my recorded material on. I recommend it for the home digital recorders that require a type I flash card.

Bought this after searching long and hard for a reasonably priced CF card for my Boss BR-600 (v1.1 firmware). Works great.

Yes, I still need a one gigabyte Compact Flash card. This one tested fine. shipping was prompt and very well packaged. Keep in mind that a one gigabyte card holds about 972 Megabytes of files due to overhead (using the FAT format). It is perfect for my old camera.

This CF works great with Boss BR-900. But, you need to upgrade to the new software version, which does not cost anything.
