Yes, these are poems by an Angel!, May 21, 2006
This review is from: Transcending Time: Poems by an Angel (Paperback)
The daughters of Marjorie Logan Wilson have given a gift to all of us by making their mother's beautiful poetry available to everyone. Though Marjorie's life was cut short due to tuberculosis, she left behind a creative legacy, not only through her words, but through her amazing family who have held together despite several tragedies. One of my favorite poems is 'To Gale' written to her daughter C. Gale Perkins, who was hospitalized herself at a very young age and is author of 'The Baby's Cross'. Readers should not miss this treasure of Marjorie Logan Wilson's poems. Chrissy K. McVay author of 'Souls of the North Wind'

TRANSCENDING TIME Gets Even Better With Time, January 8, 2006
This review is from: Transcending Time: Poems by an Angel (Paperback)
I was privileged in reviewing the galley copy of this book in order to write the back cover words. Impressed then, I'm even more so now with subsequent readings. Good poetry is like a familiar friend that gets better with time and never stales. The poetry of Marjorie Logan Willson has withstood time's test and will continue to endure the years of time as it seems each new reading unfolds something new for the heart and mind to reflect upon. Each poem of Marjorie Logan Willson sings in a distinct, musical voice and one can almost feel her heart beating within the touching quality of the poetry. Sadly, I belatedly mourn the loss of this Poet, no longer with us, imagining what other treasures would have been later released. She possessed amazing early talent with insight far beyond her actual years. Beautifully presented and organized by Mrs. Logan Willson's daughter, author, C. Gale Perkins, TRANSCENDING TIME is divided into sections of poetry about her daughters, husband, nature, spirituality, inner feelings and more. Thank you, Gale Perkins, for sharing your Mother's lovely poetry for others to enjoy, in a book with contents matching the beautiful cover picture. TRANSCENDING TIME is timelessly cherished in my collection.

My Review of Transcending Time : Poems by an Angel, January 4, 2006
This review is from: Transcending Time: Poems by an Angel (Paperback)
Transcending Time : Poems by an Angel, edited and presented by C. Gale Perkins is a legacy left by Marjorie Logan Willson to her two daughters Gale and Elaine and to her other loved ones. Marjorie Logan Willson knew she would not be around long as she was failing with Tuberculosis and yet the faith she presented in her poems is one of strength and love. At 24 years of age, Marjorie Logan Willson left this earth and left behind many poems to speak from her heart to the ones she loved so much. The book of poems given to C. Gale Perkins in 1993 by her sister Elaine was set aside until after Gale wrote her first book The Baby's Cross which is the title of one of the poems written to Gale by her mother. The Poems in this book are among the best that I have ever read and they carry a message loud and clear about the love that this poet had for her children. Marjorie Logan Willson died when Gale was four years old. Gale did not see these poems until she was sixty years old and it was then that Gale realized how much she was loved by her mother. In The Baby's Cross by C. Gale Perkins, Gale tells about the 12 years that she was a patient at the Lakeville State Sanitorium in Lakeville, Massachusetts. For people that have read this book Transcending Time : Poems by an Angel, edited and presented by C. Gale Perkins will have more meaning. Both books by C. Gale Perkins are available and are as good as a book gets. I highly recommend both of these books.
