5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great cd!
This cd is fantastic! There's absolutely nothing to say about this that hasn't been commented on by previous reviewers. If you are reading these posts trying to decide if you want this or not just ask yourself one question: Do you want a great cd filled with quality songs, great instrumentals and an amazingy vocalist or not? If yes is your answer, get this cd.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hughes Needs Stronger Songs to Be Huge
Prime Cuts: The Only Girl in Town, Soldier for the Lonely, All Mixed Up

Hailed from Quorn, a small Australian outback town, Hughes' uncanny resemblance with Down Under's other export Keith Urban is fortuitous. Like Urban, Hughes is also a guitarist extraordinaire and his adroitness for the strings is exemplified in the fact that he single-handed handled all...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing CD, November 2, 2004

Jedd's amazing vocal abilities and energy really show through on this CD. A lot of CDs have one or two really good songs and the rest are kind of lacking, that is not the case here. Every song captivates you and makes you want to listen more. He puts so much emotion into every song and it shows.

This is one of the few CDs I would recommend to everybody. You won't be disappointed if you pick it up! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Thunder from Down Under!, October 9, 2004
This review is from: Transcontinental (Audio CD)
Don't miss this new CD from Aussie Jedd Hughes. Jedd's guitar work is awesome. This young artist is well worth a listen. All but one track on this CD was co-written by Jedd. His songwriting is sensitive and soulful, with insight you'd not expect from a man his age. Every track on this CD is worth the listen time. I especially love the upbeat and catchy HIGH LONESOME and ALL MIXED UP and the soulful TIME TO SAY GOODNIGHT (SWEET DREAMS BABY). Jedd truly is the new THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER!

5.0 out of 5 stars Money Well Spent, September 26, 2004
This review is from: Transcontinental (Audio CD)
This was one of the best cd purchases I've made this year. I had the pleasure of watching Jedd on the Grand Ole Opry last June and I'll admit I was only vaguely familiar with him and his music. He was so good that night I knew I would enjoy this album. I haven't taken it out of my car since the purchase!

This album will never cross over to pop stations and that's good! His sound is bluegrass/rock. I love the banjo and guitar and this cd has plenty. His great guitar playing does not overpower any of the songs. It's a cd I can listen to all the way through.

Now if we could just get him to visit Chicago!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars He is one of the BEST!!!, September 14, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Transcontinental (Audio CD)
When I saw Jedd's first video, I didn't like him at all. Then just a few days ago, I went to a concert where unbenounced to me, he was the opening act. I can tell you that I definitely changed my mind. He was so incredibly awesome! I bought the cd at the concert (got to meet him too! Hee, hee!)and listened to it the next day. There is not a single track that I don't like; I love them all! I especially like #3, #5, #6, and #10. Most of the songs are upbeat and you can really get into all of them. He is always very talented on guitar and is a good writer. He co-wrote all but one song on this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Amazing Debut!, September 13, 2004
This review is from: Transcontinental (Audio CD)
Jedd Hughes has really impressed me!

I bought this album and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It's really good. From the opening number to the closing track, you will enjoy it. I really liked the video to "High Lonesome" so I decided to check out the whole CD, and I was glad I did. I can see Jedd becoming even more popular in the future!

The guitar work on this album is breathtaking! Very nice! If you don't have this album, I would get it! It's very good and worth every penny!
