5.0 out of 5 stars Why transfer?, November 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Transferring to a United States Medical School: A Comprehensive Guidebook for Students Enrolled in Osteopathic Medical Schools, Canadian Medical Schools, Foreign Medical Schools, Chiropractic school (Paperback)
in answer to the question: why would a D.O. want to transfer to a allopathic school: because most D.O.'s take that route because they failed to get into a US allopathic school, just like IMGs. Program directors know this as well as the reviewer. A DO, like an IMG, may be as good as any US allopathic student, but the reality is that for most, its a backdoor and there are more opportunities for allopathic US grads, fair or not. That reviewers comment reflect his personal agenda and not the value of this book.

Why would a D.O. want to transfer to an M.D. School. This book needs a new title.
