I love Cheri Huber's books and feel uneasy giving a negative review, but in this case I feel like warning others.

This isn't a book per se, it's sort of a page-per-day calendar, with some motivational quote on each page and a task for the day, like "today, be aware of this" or "be aware of that."

Throw away your spiritual literature, because it's just more food for thought. Thoughts hold you prisoner. These daily quotes simply open your heart to the wisdom of all Buddhas daily.

It helps me to stay present, unclutters my mind and gives me one and only one assignment for the whole day. I only begin to understand how it works on me, but I clearly see - IT WORKS. The first few days there was a resistance in me to how these simple short sayings and assignments could transform my life. I am glad I made through that first period. I have experienced some changes, that I could not describe in other words besides "magic". I am grateful to receive the gifts that this work brings, I am also willing to give what it takes to stay on the path of transformation. It was hard even to remember what was the assignment of the day at first. I've learned to put a snapshot of the page into my phone. What I am noticing now is that assignments I've completed some time ago are coming back and helping me through my daily life. No I do not remember all of them, but somehow they pop into my mind, when a situation arises. It feels like wisdom of Cheri and other teachers is catching up with me when I least expect it.

You have to start the work today and keep going with an open mind.

I found this book an interesting way to have good reminders for each day. I particular ejoyed the facts that came from a multiplicy of authors and there was an exercise reminder that was simple to assist in achieving the idea to be delt with. The majority of authors were excellent but some I was not able to take to myself and deal with. Maybe next year or time they will wake me up. July 20th was a particular favorite of mine.
