2.0 out of 5 stars Good Intentions...
It's become a tradition with a friend of mine to meet on our birthdays each year. We read each others (tarot and other) cards and it gives us a chance reflect on the past year - our experiences, lessons learned, future plans. The cards often provide additional insight. I thought the Transformation Game might provide the same kind of feedback and give us both more a chance...

I have owned this 'game' for several years and have introduced all my friends to it. It is far more than a game - it is a wonderful, spiritually healing experience. Using Angel, Life Insight, Life Setback and Awareness cards, each player follows his or her own 'life path' on the game board. The game is always affected by the energies of the people playing and can manifest itself as a deeply spiritual experience or a rather light-hearted, humorous approach to your question (focus for the game). Don't let the sheer volume of cards overwhelm you -- by themselves or in combination with awarenesses earned, each has a truly unique message.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uncanny opportunity to heal yourself..workshop in a box!, September 13, 2003

I play this game almost daily, just for the insights. I often
play it alone, if there is no one around who wants to play,
because it helps me clear issues quickly. Its the best self
therapy I know. (Its not set up for one player, but is easily adaptable to it).
I have referred many people to the game and they all love it!
Even my husband, who is not "New Age" at all has enjoyed it..
You choose a personal focus..something you want to explore
every time you play and its uncanny how accurately it really
shows your shadow, unresolved stuff, ego blocks, etc. You also
get lots of positive strokes from the Angels and Universe! The
thing is beyond amazing! I am a professional intuitive
and this is the best tool I know for "self-reading" other
than direct meditation! If you're on a growth path,
you won't regret this purchase. Cheaper than therapy and
possibly better!

5.0 out of 5 stars No Less than Amazing..., November 30, 1999
This review is from: Transformation Game (Cards)
...this "game" is actually more of an experiential module that guides one through the change process no matter what the issue at hand. After playing it for the first time, I felt closer to my life partner than ever - we shared so many small but intimate details that previously had been suppressed or thought not important enough to share. We were both left emotionally exhausted but content and at peace after 4-1/2 hours of play.

This game helped me to harness all of the knowledge and coping tools I brought into it and to blend and use them as powerful forces of action and insight.

I would recommend this to ANYONE who feels a need for deeper self-understanding. Just make sure you have a large block of uninterrupted time before you begin!

5.0 out of 5 stars Self-Growth was never so much fun!, December 26, 2005

This review is from: Transformation Game (Cards)
I got my first game of transformation over a dozen years ago. I use it today, and buy it as gifts for friends! From the designers of "Angel" cards this game is designed to help you explore any question or topic of your choice.
You pick a central focus and line your subconscious envelope with cards from various decks in the game (the number depends on your roll of the die) Then you pick an angel to oversee that particular focus and roll to be "born" onto your life path. Once there you land on a variety of squares, each one comes with an easy to understand instruction card.
Just as in life, sometimes you receive help from inspired sources (angels). Sometimes you have insights which give you awareness. When you have set-backs that cause pain, you use awareness to step out of that. You serve others. You are given the opportunity to listen to your intuition. You appreciate those around you. You transform for strange and unknown reasons. You receive feedback from the Universe around you. And just like life, most things filter through the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual planes.
That, in a nutshell, is what you do in this game. The amazing thing is that you are doing it with friends and you can make it light and fun or deeply moving and transformative.
This game has been a significant tool for me, and a delightful way to change and grow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game to play with close friends, February 6, 2006
This review is from: Transformation Game (Cards)
This is a great game to play with close friends that are into their growth and self-development. I say close friends because the game can bring up quite personal stuff and it can be uncomfortable to be that "naked" amongst strangers (been there, done that, wasn't fun). You also need to play it with people that are willing to set a side a few hours to play with their personal growth: the game can be a little long winded in the beginning and some people get impatient. However, provided you are playing it with the right people, this is a real workshop in a box and excellent as tool to delve into areas of one's life that are not quite working: it seems to be excellent at pinpointing areas of denial and uncomfortable little issues that one has been sweeping under the carpet. Hence why you need to play this with close and trusted friends.

How it works. Each person picks an area that they want to work with and set their intention for the game. After which each player is assigned cards (angel cards, insight cards and set back cards)and a place holder. Then each player travels on the board and gets to uncover some of their cards and/or go through processes/steps as prompted. There is A LOT of synchronicity going on with this: the promptings, cards and processes often hit home, mirroring exactly one's inner process. The idea is that by the end of the game, one has a much clearer idea of the area of life that they are working on and a much better insight into what is causing the issues. As I said, a workshop in a box.

Excellent way of working on oneself: you can even play it on your own, in fact sometimes a quick tour around the board on one's own can be very effective. A great and fun tool for personal growth!

Finally a board game, that is not based on owerpowering/winning over/undercutting others. The whole game is based on generating more connection between players, on all levels of depth. Spiritual (some could say New Age-y or Buddhist) in setup, the game leads each player through being born, and existence in the physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual realms until the player (the first one or each) blasts out through the final transformation. All this happens not before everyone needs to answer questions, act under certain circumstances, make decisions and express support towards others participating. The game includes hundreds of cards accompanying the movements on the board and describing what needs to be done at each step. I really liked how the game also helped to integrate the different world-view and the newly learned insights into my life by encouraging to write them down or follow them up after the game. Both good and bad events in life are handled with a nonjudgmental atmosphere encouraging equanimity in life and in our choices, overseen and supported by angels of different quality from the included angel card deck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clarifies issues at deep level, April 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Transformation Game (Cards)
You choose a goal for your life, and this game helps you look at issues that surround it on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. While I have not played it extensively myself, I have a friend who swears by it, and plays it whenever she is at a difficult point in her life. A great and reasonably entertaining way to sit and clarify what is really going on in a given life situation.

This is the most innovative game on the market for developing self understanding. I have been playing this game for years and now can laugh at the issues that come up whilst playing this wonderful game.
A quick solution for extremely difficult situations if one really wants answers!

I purchased this game a month ago after hearing about it from a friend and have nothing but praise for the women that created it. I have played it both alone and with others and it never fails to show me the awareness, setbacks and insights for any focus that I may have. It is especially valuable being able to play with others for the wealth of interaction that happens with it. Just as with the experience of life itself, there can be pain, setbacks and depression but there is also blessings, miracles, enlightenment from angels and the other players as well as the opportunity for transformation. Every player's game is unique to them, there are no winners or losers. I make a point of recording all the results of my games to look back upon and will find that a lot of the same messages are being shown to me even by having different focuses. It is those repeated messages that I really need to focus on. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is willing to understand themselves for growth and self healing, as playing it will provide them with a very enlightening experience.
